Sammy is paying for his mistake, and in my opinions is doing a great job making amends. However, he'll have to deal with things like this for the rest of his career. There will be heisman votes that go againt him because of his arrest.

He's off the list b/c media has no idea of the length of his "presumed suspension." Since Dabo is lingering with the consequences, some may think there will be several games involved (no way). If Dabo had announced his 1-2 game suspension immediately after the arrest, we wouldn't be having this conversation, and he would be near the top of the B-list.

FWIW, Justin Blackmon won it and he had two DUI arrests in 20 months...

With the kids that are on this list I don't think Biletnikoff would be on his own list in 2012. It doesn't matter how many awards list you are on in July, it only matters in November and December.
