Fire Rittman!!!!

Sorry couldn't resist. I'm extremely excited about softball at Clemson and I think most, if not all, understand this is going to be a process to build this thing. I don't think it will take Clemson half as long as say another school who just introduced softball though. I really believe there are girls all around the southeast who have been dying to play softball at Clemson. I feel good about saying that I really believe by year 3 this program will be competitive. I think Clemson softball is a big deal and we can be a truly dominant program.

I agree. There will be a learning process and I think this team will be better by the end of the season.

Our girls are a fledgling team playing against some very seasoned teams and it will get a lot of growth as the season progresses. It is always thrilling to see a young team move forward....baby steps. But there is no reason we can't be that seasoned team down the road...the talent is there.

From the looks of the first 4 games, it seems that pitching or the lack of, might be our greatest need at the moment. Time, good coaching and recruiting will take care of that. I'm excited for this team to show what they can do and the season develops.

These girls will be real good and quicker than three years I think. You can develop a good softball team quickly with the right kids on the mound.

all you need is one. When I was in college we had a girl pitch every game and she ended up setting just about every conference pitching record. she was dominant. unfortunately her teammates couldn't score runs to save their lives.

Had that game with Indiana. 6 errors and/or passed balls. They'll get all that ironed out. Excited we finally got a team. Playing against the good competitive teams will help develop their hitting.
