Feaster

Aug 31, 2019, 8:03 PM

I bet Feaster would’ve had more than 72 yards against GT. Looks like he’s still splitting carries. I wish the best for him, but the grass isn’t always greener on the other side.

You can say that again!

I don't wish the best for any gamecoot football player. He Never played at Clemson!

Re: Feaster

Aug 31, 2019, 8:14 PM

He averaged only 5 carries per game for us last year, and the most he had in any one game was 10. He got 13 carries today... To top that, one would figure that he'll likely earn more playing time as the season moves along and he learns more of the playbook considering he's only been there for 2-3 weeks at this point.

This is the first game Feaster has lost since 2017!

Re: Feaster

Aug 31, 2019, 8:19 PM

I really doubt he went there expecting to win a championship. He's won 2 national titles and 3 conference titles in his career. This is about him wanting to get on the field more to try and improve his chances at making the NFL. Maybe it'll work out for him, and maybe it won't, but he got more playing time today than he did in any single game last year so on that front it's working out for him so far.

And as for the more than 72 yards comment. He has just 2 games where he was above that number last year. I don't really care how he does anymore than any other player on their team really, but it's interesting how hard some of you are praying that he'll regret his decision.

The mindset IMO is Feaster now plays for usuc. So most will pull against him the same as pulling against usuc.

I get that part, and I'm not actively pulling for him to make plays for them either. It's just obvious that so many on here are taking it beyond that, and are so desperate to be able to say that he failed. I'm not happy about where he ended up, but I understood why he left, and I'm not trying to pick apart every little thing while ignoring facts in order to support an opinion that he made a horrible choice.

Bottom line, he went there to get more playing time, and he got more today than he did in any game for us last year. If he were being honest, I'm not he would've told you he knew he was going to a team far below Clemson in talent, and that he'd likely lose several games this year. His leaving was never about that though.

Should have went somewhere with an OL

Aug 31, 2019, 8:48 PM

Usuc’s line is terrible he will get killed this season.

there are many schools where he wouldn't be behind

Much logic in your statement and accuracy.
You know...it's mostly all about his choice of choosing usuc but there again, maybe that was in his best interest as well for his hopes.
It's all good. I don't mind seeing Feaster do VERY WELL as long as they lose the game!

Aug 31, 2019, 9:40 PM [ in reply to Re: Feaster ]

If you understand why he left, please explain it to us that don't. He said he wanted to be the feature back on a team that is competing for a championship. That doesn't sound like South Carolina, does it. If he doesn't know why he transferred, how do you?

Yes and I was happy to see him do well today. Wishing him well like other Clemson grads! I had to go to U of SC to get my masters degree too.

Was right there with you until you said Master degree. He is not there to play school!

Re: Feaster

Sep 1, 2019, 12:28 AM

He must be enrolled in a Masters program that Clemson doesn't offer in order to benefit from the grad transfer program.

He is not obligated to complete it once his eligibility is used up.
