That is why spurlid left early. He didn't want to put up with any questions from that bunch of losers in cola, and as I said long ago and often, he would tell them where to kiss. I just hope (not really) there is enough beer in cola to wash the taste of chicken crap out of his mouth, but I doubt it. He made his bed, and now he gets to wallow in it knowing he tarnished his reputation while wasting his time down there.

I hope that program sinks further into the abyss. He led them through tough times...and received no support. Their fan base thinks it can continue to 'thug' its way to championships. That ship has sailed. Facilities suck...no stadium near, much less on, the campus...and no fan support...merely sputum by a bunch of worthless has-been hacks/thugs. Congrats, Howard and Jimmy...your legacy has come full circle. All that's left now is for someone to flush the toilet.

I remember when Golden was first hired. It was almost as if they were trying to dupe him into hiring on, considering the recruiting violations that had just been discovered. I think it was an out-of-control booster. Anyway, he was willing to try to see them through it. They were not bowl eligible as late as 2012.

I do like Golden, but you have to admit he hadn't changed their culture much, much less added any quality players (key word "quality") nor facilities there. This was bound to happen. They have very talented players, but not much discipline at all. Just look at all the yah, yahing they were doing while getting that #### spanked from here to yonder. Stupidty and thugism runs deep throughout their program, and Al Golden didn't get that fixed at all.

They have to on their football program. If they are graduating that group who acts so uppity and thuggish even while getting their hats and arses handed to them, academic fraud may come into question.

They should have fired him at halftime. Grats to him for finishing the game. He was absolutely the wrong guy to lead that program. They're getting "chippy" before the game even starts. That's on a coach that had totally lost control of his team. His players quit on him after the first quarter.
Granted, we beat the hell out of them. But still.

Never hope for anyone to lose their job. I make a hell of a lot less and have enough saved if God forbid that happened to me. I'm sure he will be fine but the man has a family and I don't wish him any ill will. I hope he lands on his feet soon and will continue to be a good person and family man. stadium, I don't think they ever get back to anything approaching the national prominence they once enjoyed. Warren Sapp and some of the other thugalums that were tweeting during the game should pony up some money for this instead of just running their mouth.
