Offensive Scheme is based on Big Picture

Oct 7, 2017, 1:29 PM

Last Year because we had D Watson we could afford to take more risk. The scheme this year is to habe Bryant keep the turnover rate at a minimum..and wear them down. It is frustrating but I think our objective is to wear them down. Hence the conservative play calling. You always play to your strengths which is our defense.

Except Bryant throws a good deep ball which is both a pretty safe

throw and helps to back the defense off the LOS, and we continually go away from it entirely every time we get a multiple score lead in a game.

I'm not gonna criticize most of the playcalling but I don't understand why we completely go away from the deep shot for long stretches of games this year.

Because our underachieving O-Line can't hold a block long enough for our receivers to get deep before KB is running for his life.

Absolutely wrong. Our O-line is doing a fine job.. consistently. WF Dline is doing well too. The depth of talent will be the difference in the 2nd half. Yes, the coaches are calling plays conservatively. So what?

If you want to see no defense and lots of passing plays. Go watch Oklahoma. We aren't them.

The defense makes adjustments. Besides Deon Cain what other deep threat to we have. Overton while good isnt there yet. Renfrow is not a jump ball guy and Ray Ray isnt either. Now sometimes I do think we should give Overton more tries...but Bryant isnt as accurate as DW4. A game is 4 quarters.
