No, the sky isn't falling. If we lost Brent Venables to Arkansas, we would be just fine on defense. He would more than likely be replaced by Marion Hobby. Marion Hobby and Todd Bates have a history together and are close friends. So if you cut the head off of the monster that is Clemson's defense, we have two heads that grow back in it's place. We will be fine on defense. We may lose the get back coach position, but other than that, it won't slow down our production at all.
If both Jeff Scott and Tony Elliot leave Clemson for a head coaching position we will be fine as well. More than likely, Brandon Streeter will step up to become the Offensive Coordinator. Brandon Streeter has been coaching since graduating from Clemson back some time ago. He has the experience and is qualified. This would also open up a slot for us to hire a full time WR coach and a full time QB coach. So, I'm not too worried.
Sure, Coach Venables and the Offensive Coordinators are great recruiters. However, we won't lose much of our recruitment power due to the recent success we've had for the past 5 seasons. We will continue to recruit a talented and deep roster every year. Dabo has the credit for that, so I am not sure why people are too worried.

the other one will take the OC job. I'd like to have Tajh working here. He's been through the mill with us and I believe he has the character and background making him capable of being coached into a position coach in a few years.

One will likely be moving on (and deservedly so, great for them!), and the other gets a pay bump here and becomes sole OC.

Exactly. I would bet Dabo has been preparing the replacement plans for quite some time. I don't think we lose a beat.....

Yes, I know that Marion Hobby left after last season to go to the Jags... I'm saying that Dabo would probably call him up and offer him a job as the DC making a substantial amount of money. He'd be a fool not to return back to Clemson.
