Sick and tired of announcers saying UGA ran through everyone in the season. It was 10-3 vs us and they got a pick six. How is that overlooked ??

Clemson did not make the CFP this year. With that said, they did make the CFP the previous 6 years. I was in attendance for about half of those games, and certainly watched every snap of the ones I couldn’t make it to. Heck, I watched every snap of the Cheez It Bowl this week, and had a great time doing it.
At no point, during any of those games, did it cross my mind to go visit another team’s message board.
Don’t let me slow you down though, keep on keeping on here on TigerNet talking about how obsessed Clemson is with UGA…..

Don't worry what Clemson fans say and enjoy your victory.
Yes Kirby ran the clock out on the final drive, bc about every coach would. Why wouldn't you. But to say The Dawgs sat on the ball instead of trying to blow us out is complete nonsense. It was a one possession game and we could have easily gotten a defensive TD.
Go look at the play chart in the second half and you'll see monken called a handful of passing plays.
It doesn't matter though. Whether you win by one or 50, it counts as a win.

Clemson get two turnovers in Georgia territory. Both would’ve been makeable FGs for Potter had we simply kicked it in 1st down. Potter makes at least 1 if not both and we avoid the pick-six. That’s a Clemson win 6-3 or 9-3. But DJ threw the interception on one drive and took consecutive sacks and lost a ton of yardage on the other one. And those sacks could’ve been avoided. He had time to throw the ball away.

I wasn’t being passive aggressive. I was being bluntly honest.
Our “10 win season” this year is extremely disappointing considering the fact that we were in the playoffs last year, were on 99% of everyone’s preseason list to make the playoffs, had a preseason Heisman candidate, and have more talent on our roster than all but 2-3 programs this year, and struggled most of the year due to a horribly underachieving offense, against teams with much less talent and supposedly inferior coaching to ours.
Our fans don’t care though, because our coach is a great guy who does things the right way and we won a national championship a few years ago, and all the other teams cheat anyway.
The solution? Keep doing what we are doing despite significant evidence that it isn’t working and might not work in the future. Promote from within and don’t even consider outside coaching hires. Be slow to use the portal. Seemingly ignore a real lack of quality scholarship players.
But all is well! We will be back in the playoffs next year. Because Dabo. Because culture.

I compare Clemson to Clemson.
If it makes you feel better to gloat about 10 win seasons because Ball State or East Carolina would love to win 10 games a year, or because we would’ve loved that when Tommy Bowden was our coach, knock yourself out.
For me, our season should be judged on our recent performance and preseason expectations, with an awareness of our own unique advantages and disadvantages. Based on that, winning 10 games this year in a weak ACC against teams that we have significantly more talent than, who spend way less than we do on football, with much less recent success than we’ve had, isn’t a success.

It was certainly a disappointing year but with the loss of TL, ETN, Rodgers, and others it was a testament to where our program is. We had a rough year and still won 10 games and beat a good Iowa St team in the bowl game. Of course we want to always win every game but have some perspective my man.

He has earned plenty of accolades that put him in the most rarified air in the history of the sport - not just of this era. But you don’t actually like Clemson so you don’t care about that. What we have accomplished is amazing.
But winning 10 games THIS year, given all of our talent and advantages and investment in our program in recent years, is disappointing.
We shouldn’t have struggled to win 10 games this year against these teams with all of our advantages.
That’s not to say that we shouldn’t be able to appreciate the positives. We absolutely should! But let’s please stop acting like this year was some huge success because in the appropriate context, it wasn’t.

Aggressive, and you have continually made such comments about our football program this year. Be honest, you were hoping we’d lose the bowl game, right?
Disappointing year? Absolutely….but can you imagine how many schools would kill for a 10 win season to be a disappointment? Also, one year does not definitively mean how he’s doing things isn’t working.
I have my concerns about the internal promotions as well, but Dabo has earned the benefit of the doubt with his decisions. Hopefully we don’t end up in a Billy Napier situation next year, but hey he saw the talent there earlier than anyone…

He is paid to make these decisions and his track record speaks for itself.
That doesn’t mean that I don’t have concerns.
And no, of course I didn’t want us to lose the bowl game. Don’t be ridiculous.
It’s one thing to appreciate what a 10 win season means in the context of college football. Many teams would certainly love to win 10 games. How many of those teams were in the playoffs every year for the last 6 years? How many pay their coach $8 million a year? How many have the highest paid offensive coordinator and defensive coordinator? How many are among the most talented teams in the country?
At some point, we have to evaluate our team based on our own unique advantages and disadvantages. If we do that, there is no way to spin this season as a success. We can be proud of the way our team fought through adversity, persevered, and did things the right way. But given our preseason goals and many advantages relative to our opponents, I can’t get excited about 10 wins this year.

That's the only reason they won against Clemson! We spotted the 7 points! Had that not happened we would have probably won that game! Georgia was not able to score offensive touchdowns against us. The pick six shook our offenses confidence and we were not able to get anything going offensively.

What I hate most is them saying Alabama #1. They never played like #1 except UGA. Would be priceless if Covid gave UGA crown. Or best never team and no Natty

Clemson. Kind of like a soccer team leading 1-0 w 10 minutes left. Just protect the lead and run out the clock. That’s what they did. Smart coaching early in the season
