Everyone I know who's been to India says it's a hard pass. Maybe one day I'll be interested enough to go, but there are about 1000 other places I want to see first.

yeah I am not really going

Apr 27, 2021, 10:18 AM

India is far less crowded than it used to be.

Apr 27, 2021, 12:14 PM

Going in October- I've already reserved the rental car. Flying to Vegas and heading to Denver. Gonna make stops in Zion, Bryce, Arches, and then relax in Aspen, then fly out of Denver.
If you have done that type of tour, I'm open to suggestions.

June flying into Denver, doing the Crested Butte > Telluride

Apr 27, 2021, 2:20 PM

>Breckenridge > Boulder > Denver

The rental car is going to be $$$$$ for 13 days.

We were going to do the Canyonlands and Arches through Moab but instead doing Great Sand Dunes, Black Forest Gunnison, Mesa Verde and RMNP

Nice. I haven't traveled much out west. Definitely looking forward to it. I think we are doing 11 days, and the car was a little over $700 (small SUV).
I've heard good things about Boulder.

Man, our car is looking at $1600 plus, a Tahoe was going

Apr 27, 2021, 2:40 PM

It's just my wife and me, so we were able to get something small. It's supposed to be along the lines of a Rav4

The downside is that when you get there you have to abide by whatever restrictions they have in place. I'm not talking about masks, I mean the chance that the country you are visiting will go into lockdown, which, unlike here, is strictly enforced. I know a guy who was looking at a trip to Greece but passed after discovering there would be curfew. I'd rather wait a year, unless the prices were unbeatable.

Had planned to go to the Bavaria area of Germany this Summer, but Merkle and Co. are so behind in vax distribution its ridiculous. Sucks in large part because I have a free place to stay in Munich.

No way Slater, Marietta is going to be able to handle all that posh tourism.

Apr 27, 2021, 12:14 PM

I say we close the European borders up again.
