Turnovers

Dec 4, 2013, 12:07 PM

we had 12 fumbles lost and 10 interceptions of our passes for the season. 4 turnovers came against FSU and 6 against the Coots. That means almost half of our turnovers for the season were in those 2 games. Throw those out and we averaged just about one per game for the remaining games.

Now some fumbles or Ints are going to happen. Some games there will be none and some you might have a couple. probably averaging one is reasonable. My point is no matter the fault the games with 4 and 6 are most times going to be L's

The fact that we had so many turnovers against these two teams tells you what?

The Mind Goes In the Heat Of Battle ----

Dec 4, 2013, 12:21 PM

It has to be branded in your mind to hold on to
the ball fumble-wise. I was always taught when
you get into a crowd cover up that ball. Now if
someone took a hit and you were left crumpled up
stiff like a soda can....then I can see how the ball
can come out. Coaching the minds of young men must
mesh well.

So why didn't Alabama turn it over so much? Auburn? Stanford? Turnovers don't "just happen"

Maybe the other team made some good plays and we made some mistakes. Turnovers happen in games. Just a shame we had several in one night. We should have won that game and would have without those turnovers. But it's part of the game. Teams that take care of the ball win most of the time.

You fumble the ball for 1 of 2 reasons:either you're too scared to carry the ball or you don't know how.It' a matter of character! EXCEPTION:being assaulted by mb while trying to field a punt.

Dabo, the desecrater, sold his soul to the devil. How else do you explain 5 straight losses to the coots. So that's going to be hard to do.
