you can't tell me with a straight face that we aren't at least one of the Top 10 teams in the country.
I mean, Notre Dame is in the top 10? We put up over 40 points with DJ at QB against them with half of our defense out.
Alabama #2?!? The only team Bama has beaten in the Top 25 is Ole Miss.
We only lost to #1 UGA on a fluke play.
The fix is in. You'd think Clemson would get more respect. We've got the 2nd best player in the nation out of High School as our QB, three 5 star WR frisbee catching dogs as our starters, and a 5 star RB (I know he's a true freshman) and a defense that gives up less than 2 TDs a game.
ESPN is a joke. I'd invite everyone to boycott that pathetic network. They put 2 SEC teams in the Top 10. What a joke.

Have you actually been watching our games or what? We just struggled to beat a 3-4, now 3-5, historically bad FSU team. We have a good defense but our offense is beyond terrible even with Shipley shining.

lost to TEXAS A AND M and haven't beaten anyone with a pulse (Ole Miss is terrible) But they're still ranked #2.
I think we at least deserve as much credit as Bama. I know we've lost 2 extra games, but UGA is amazing and our defense held them to 3 (three) points.
I don't think we deserve Top 5. But we are ultra talented. Our ceiling is higher than any team sans Bama and UGA.

I mean I'm not going to say some kind of miracle can't happen and we magically figure it out on offense and win out to get in the top 25 but outside of that, I'd be fully prepared to lose more games this year. 2-2 in these last 4 games is entirely possible.

Seriously, a few games. Have you seen our offense this year. We are fortunate we aren't playing even middle of the pack SEC teams this year. We would be lucky to get any of those games to overtime.
And Notre Dame was a season ago, at there place but we still lost.
And while Alabama may have only one win against a top 25 team, how many have we won?
And if losing to #1 Georgia was on a fluke play then our quarterback is solely responsible for committing two fluke plays, or are you forgetting the pick 6 against Pittsburg.
And as to the # 2 best player in the country being our quarterback, I have seen several 3 star quarterbacks with lesser talent put up more numbers than he has.
Fix! If you can prove a fix then DJT would still be in the White House.

We are not a top 10, top 20 or top 30 team at this point in the season. We may end up a top 20 team, but that's about the best we can hope for this year.

The Tigers ARE a team with top five talent. The Tigers are playing like a team with no talent. The Tigers will be invited to a bowl game because of who they were not because of who they are. This Clemson team couldn’t beat the old Tigers teams that I saw play as a student in the sixties!

We may be Top 5 in terms of HS Star ratings, but we are not Top 5 in CURRENT talent, that is painfully clear.
Clemson has historically punched above their weight in terms of guys performing at or better than their HS star rating. However, it is painfully clear that a majority of our 2-deep is comprised of underperformers--hence the results on the field.

We could probably beat a few teams ranked 20-25th and we have the potential to be a top 10 team but that is the whole problem with this season. The defense is national championship level but the offense is way under performing. It has shown a least a few signs of life around the running game but it has a long way to go before we crack a top 10 level team.
Maybe we find it by the bowl game and take some good momentum into next year.
