ESPN gives Pitt over 60% chance to win

Oct 17, 2021, 4:47 PM

Pitt seems to be maybe the most balanced team with a good offense and defense in the ACC They are pass happy on offense and seem to give some one on one coverage on our receivers to have plenty of defenders around the box I’m not a coach but seems to me we have two strategies One try to run the ball and sustain long drives to keep the ball away from them or try to take advantage of the single coverage on our receivers We will not be able to turn the ball over or make the mistakes we have made so far and win this one

They are insane, yes our offense has struggled but Pitt hasn’t come close to playing a defense like ours especially if Davis can someone get back next week. I actually think we are going to win by 10, just got a feeling we are going to get it together

Oh gosh, I'm shocked ... the Eat Snot Pick Noses experts pick Pitt to beat us.

I guess we should all become GameCrock fans ... after all they beat Vanderbilt in the Natty.

Thank you ESPN for setting us straight!

So, run our standard offense.

sounds like a plan.

The Pitt QB can sling it.

Clemson should give them the playbook

Oct 17, 2021, 5:00 PM

That should confuse their defense as much as it does our offense. We might actually run the score up that way too! :)

Probably a bigger percentage than that unless we get some people healthy real quick. If we have to go up there and play the same personnel we played at Cuse, Pitt will put up 28- 35 points on us.

So yes, I agree with your strategy. Ball control. Shorten the game. We won't beat them in a shootout.

I think they win if it’s their passing game versus ours we got to bring pressure on their 6 year QB and make him uncomfortable I don’t think we get many sacks without Davis and Bresee We can’t play zone we will have to man up and take our chances on their receivers Hope Booth gets back along with Goodrich We Will probably have to have a balance attack What’s wrong with using QB under center in the I formation occasionally just to mix it up Put a tight end in fullback position

It doesn’t matter what some morons at ESPN say.

We’ll just see what happens on the field Saturday.

Pitts stats are inflated against Nee Hampshire western Michigan and UMASS. And one loss was to Western Michigan. I believe they will find our defense a bit more stout.
