Re: "ESPN experts," oxymoron.

Happily married, military intelligence, jumbo shrimp and minor oxymorons. ESPN experts is the motherlode.

ESPN FPI contradicts that--Clemson #4

Pack will not come into DV and beat Tigers. Took OT last year to beat us and we'll be much stronger this year, especially our D

To put things in perspective, the last time the Wolfies beat us at home in the Valley, Philip Rivers was their QB (2002). They haven't beaten us in consecutive games since that stretch.

I remember back in 2014 and 2018 people were saying NCSU would finally take the next step with Brissett or Ryan Finley under center. Other than 2016, State plays like ### in Clemson. That was the closest they got and will likely ever get against Dabo in the Valley.

Also for perspective, we haven't lost at home since 2016 Pitt. Dabo's home record is nothing short of amazing - 91-8 overall since taking over as interim halfway through the 2008 season, and only 4 home losses since 2011.

NC State has been 1-2 wins from being serious ACC contenders for years. Hell, even in Dabo's worst year, we still managed to beat NC State when they had Russell freakin' Wilson at QB. They're perennial underdogs, and I don't see them taking that next step anytime soon, especially not under Dave friggin Doeren.

They're the only team of the original ACC to not win a division since the expansion in 2004. Duke, BC, Wake, UNC, both Techs, Pitt, and Wake all have since then. Only NC State, Syracuse, and Louisville have not won a division in the ACC in football.

They're losing the NC recruiting battle to UNC and us, and they literally have nothing to go by: haven't won a conference title since the 70s, haven't been actually relevant since Rivers played (he's now a coach at a Catholic HS in Alabama), and have probably the biggest whiner/crybaby of a coach in Doeren.

Included Wake twice. But y'all know what I mean.

I think ESPN would be a credible source of information

if they were ever right.

We would have to play bad like last year on offense for that

Apr 14, 2022, 11:26 AM

to happen. ITs possible i guess if this offense is ran the same. We just needed to have a pulse and we would've won that game. We just couldn't do much. We looked like an offense ranked 112th in the country. .. smh, still can't believe we could be that bad. But it was no fluke. We did it week to week.

I look forward to seeing them in the Valley.***

Ain't happening !!!

Apr 14, 2022, 11:42 AM

Clemson played like $#!7 last year up in Raleigh and still should have won the game.

If the Liberals who run ESPN had spoken the truth about anything over the past few years, there might be some credence here. Since they are just another Left Wing arm of the Democrat Party........NAH!!

By the time we play NC State - either DJ will be performing

Apr 14, 2022, 11:50 AM

to the standards required to run of our offense or Cade Klubnik will have taken over as starting QB. By that point in the season one can reasonably expect the offense to be back on track from their abysmal performance last year. NC State ain't coming into Death Valley and beating our Tigers this year unless we have a lot of critical unforeseen injuries.

Maybe one or two think that. Most overwhelmingly pick us.***

Nancy State hasn't beaten Clemson at home since 2002...

Apr 14, 2022, 2:41 PM

and they've only managed to do it four times since 1980. That's just four times in forty years.

In the last 20 meetings, the Wuss Pack is a whopping 4 - 16 against the Tigers.

Uhhhhh.....NO !!!!

HAHA you put ESPN and experts in the same sentence.

I just hope that

You fans who are so quick to criticize the Tigers will actually show up for this game in Death Valley and support the team. A great LOUD crowd would be fantastic. Get your tickets early because they will be difficult to find. What a great ‘first game’ it would be for some of you.

Nancy Tate lost……
- their 2 best running backs
- their best WR
- their 2 best O-linemen

I don’t believe that Nancy Tate loses that and gets better.

Could we please have “bring a laptop to the game day” when those jacklegs show up?

Doeren would love nothing more to smoke a cigar in Death Valley. Hopefully the Tigers are the ones passing out the cigars kinda like the tradition of the winning team in the Alabama-Tennessee rivalry. Doeren may have started something.
