ESecPN is simply abiding by the National Recruiting ranking rules

They cannot Officially declare us #1 in the rankings until Feb. 5th after they’ve allowed the SEC/B1G teams an opportunity to oversign 5-10 more recruits. At that time, the current results will be readjusted and if we are not passed by another team we will be acknowledged as the Overral #1 class.

It does make good business sense for them to move us down. Stagnation is the enemy of entertainment. ESPN needs viewers and and clicks to pay their bills. You don’t get that by having nothing new to report.
