Rode a horse for 2 hours lately? If not I bet youd need to take a couple of days off work. You wouldn't be able to walk. It's called an emerging sport. That means it is recognized but not yet sanctioned. They did that for gender equality in sports.

The coots looked for a sport that not many schools fielded a team in. This way, they may have a chance at winning something. Equestrian is what they stumbled on to.

Teenage girls enjoy that workout for some reason.....I wonder why?

I wish it was a sport in ‘67 when I was a freshman. I chose Clemson because it had an Animal Science major. Only 3 horses were on the grounds then. My career was in the Thoroughbred Horse industry as a breeder and trainer with a farm in Saratoga Springs, NY. Loved playing rugby for 3 years at Clemson. Helped establish the Rugby House at 113 Calhoun St. President 2 years of Rugby Club.
