English Premier League managers’ salaries

May 6, 2022, 4:00 PM

.

Just something to compare vs college football coaches salaries. 3 of them making astronomical numbers behind college football coaches salaries, while a few are close and then the rest lower. Quite a spread

Yeah but they have to live in England

Also they’re paying a dead guy and a washed up baseball player who peddles male enhancement pills 1.5M pounds each?!?!? Those two teams must be in columbiafordshire and Richlandcountyhammington.

The value of a first line soccer club in Europe is huge. Look up the list of highest paid athletes and you will several soccer players. Worldwide, football in the US does not even compare with soccer in fan support and appeal.

I love the sport but have to admit the economics of European soccer is in no way good for the game. They compensate by having enough leagues/tournaments/cups for everyone at all levels to have shot at winning.

I do think it is one of the few models that college sports could follow to crown champions with over 100 teams.

As far as the hace and have nots and the same programs/clubs winning. Oklahoma winning every big 12 akin to Bayern Munich winning the Bundesliga every year

Must be an oversight.

The money in soccer is crazy. Do not believe it’s capped so realistically barring a miracle there are only a handful of teams that can win the PL. The teams that come and go because of relegation have to be strapped in comparison to a Man U or Liverpool, but probably consider it a win if they end up in the PL even if it is for only a season or 2.

Now the Champions League is a whole other ball game. IMO that is a great model for crowning the best team in the world.

Premier League is more open that other leagues though

despite Liverpool and City taking the reigns in recent years. There are about 6-7 clubs that can push for winning the league. Not the case in Spain, Italy, France or Germany.
