Are these football stadiums really going to be packed with fans at full capacity? The way this Variant Virus is trying to gain steam.....there may not be a reason to risk this with crowded fans in one area yet.

popping back up at a time when there is no planning/execution period. Last year, there was six months to figure out the logistics. This year, the only plan will be to eliminate fans.
While I enjoyed being in a less-than-full stadium last year, I am hopeful for full-go this year. But if the trend continues for another month, some folks are gonna be faced with tough decisions. Administrators will be on the hot seat again.
And will we (I) go to Charlotte if there is a continuous upward trend to sit in a packed stadium?. Not sure. Of course, the governor there will probably make that decision for us (me).
Hope it doesn't get to that point!

I am vaccinated and the virus and its variant do not scare me. If everyone will get vaccinated COVID will be no worse than a normal flu.

The stands will be full. The UGA game will be moved from Charlotte if full attendance is not allowed. Covid infections are on the rise but, not near where they were. People have made their choice to be vaccinated or not. I have both in my immediate family and respect everyone’s decision. As expected, there are breakthrough cases within the vaccinated. The Covid expert docs from the local medical college are anticipating all non-vaccinated to be infected by January. Delta is that contagious. After January, the same docs are stating that Covid will become an annual issue in line with the flu.

Yes it will never go away if it still has a host and I thought your chance of surviving is way better if you have been vaccinated. Just saw last night a doctor say 99% of deaths now are not vaccinated and the majority that are in the hospital say they wish they had gotten the vaccine now.

The problem has always been some people won't get vaccinated or wear their mask. Solve those two problematic areas and you got it. Good luck with that.

Everyone knew that they would be bringing this up again when it was about time for school to get started. It will only pick up steam as school gets closer and closer, and then we'll be right back where we were last year. I really hope I'm wrong. If they were serious about this variant, travel would have been restricted from these countries months ago. As you said... here we go again...

I AM NOT OPPOSED TO ANYONE GETTING THE SHOT. IT IS NOT A VACCINE. BUT WHY WOULD I GET THAT SHOT WHILE I HAVE NATURAL IMMUNITY. I HAD THE DREADED COVID IN DECEMBER.
