Elliott says they are experimenting with the wildcat?

Nov 22, 2015, 2:07 PM

I always thought if we ran a wildcat you'd see Cain taking the snap. Not another QB. Is is technically still that formation if you've got 2 QB's in?

They've run some wildcat with P. Cooper already this year...***

I'm good enough, I'm smart enough, and doggone it, people like me.

I'd rather see us go pistol or some other power formation to run out of because we won't be able to run straight at Bama.

Bama hates to spread the field and linebackers aren't great in space, if we play bama the pass will set up the run

Brad Brownell: more losses than any other coach in school history.

After the game, Watson said it was to "plant the seed" and to give future teams something to think about. Personally, I think they are setting up to switch it and have Watson line back up as qb and have Bryant catch a pass. This is just my guess.

definitely this, but he will pass the ball from a WR position at some point

Guess I wasn't clear - my question is more

about whether what Elliott and Scott are setting up is really a wildcat. It seems like something else or a 2 QB hybrid or something. Unless you consider Bryant a replacement RB/TB or something.

I get what they are trying to do in being secretive about tricks. But is it really a wildcat??
