smoke, the grand jury would have returned a true bill for indictment.
Having served on a grand jury, I have seen how much weight is placed on the evidence offered by the DA and how easily the jurors can be swayed by their argument.
If the DA had any case at all, they would have pressed it vigorously and the grand jury would have indicted and just let things go to trial.
The fact that they didn’t speaks volumes.

Well said and I had the same experience.
In fact, it bothered me it was so easy. So there must have been really nothing they offered to try to get an indictment.

This has always felt like it was about money and nothing but money.

Obvious from the beginning it was a cash grab campaign, but in this METOO climate where h0s are treated like the virgin Mary, I expected the worst. A criminal trial with a guilty verdict; and all of you Zombies drinking the verdict kool-ade. Downgrading DW, labeling him a sorry s o b because a bunch of prostitutes presented as massage therapists pulled off an elaborate extortion scheme. All 22 should serve a minimum of 2 years in a Texas prison.

It's not over yet.....the civil cases have to be tried. Hopefully without a criminal indictment, they have no legs to stand on...
Don't forget the lawyer in the 2 year Texas jail....

The fact that there were 9 charges, and the GJ didn't indict on any of them indicates that the prosecution had nothing. The whole thing is nothing but an attempted money grab by a crooked lawyer and his hoes, and they all should go to jail.

There are 9 civil cases, not 9 charges. That was the whole point of the Grand Jury to come up with indictments (charges) and they found none. The civil and criminal aspect of this (of which there is no criminal) are not related.

I agree. I was pleasantly surprised yesterday when I read that no charges were filed. It is time for Watson’s attorney to start playing hardball. I am curious to see if Buzbee bails as the women’s attorney.

I don’t think DW did anything criminal but he did make terrible choices which brought all of this on himself. So he does not belong in jail but let’s not pretend his actions were not sketchy at best

Sketchy or simply lacking awareness and judgement ….

to NOT engage in activities that have potential civil legal and PR consequences. IMO, DW was somewhat naive _ and his Agent and other business advisors did not “connect” on potential damage to his “brand”..
Summary _ not criminal but somewhat stupid.

Clearly very bad choices and horrible behavior. The simple fact that there are 22 women lining up for this is telling. If it were a couple, it was possible it was a scam. 22, not so much. Like a Tiger Woods entitled scenario.
