DTV Setup Time?

I asked this below in a response to a ACC Network post and got no response so Im going to try it again here.
As Comcast doesn't yet have a deal with the ACC Network, I'm probably going to go with DTV. How long does it normally take to get DTV installed and set up? Can I get this done from start to finish within a week?
Thanks in advance.

Could be Dish, could be Direct TV, could be something else?

Not sure about DTV, by my mom recently switched to Uverse and it took 2 or 3 weeks for someone to come out. I guess it depends on the area you live in and the representatives available in your area. You can find out the available installation date before you switch and you can have it set up so that your existing service isn't turned off until your new service is installed.

1. You have to call and order DirectV 2. Nowadays they do not let the installers (mostly contractors keep all the equipment with them) 3.So they will schedule you a shipment of equipment based on the number of your TVs etc 4.The guy will bring the dish itself and the concrete or mounting equipment 5. They will schedule you a 4 hour window sometime in the future maybe in thee or four days maybe 2 weeks if you need a highly desirable time slot 6. Dude , unless you are first on his list for the day will, invariably run late or miss your first schedule and need to reschedule. 7. They no longer have to run cable to each TV , IF you have wifi, I mention this for all the non cord cutters who keep saying that they can have directV without internet and Wi-Fi. Not true with their new equipment and not true with their PPV 8. Depending where dish has to be mounted they may have to reschedule to trench a small line to bury the cable outside. 9. They will almost never put one on the roof anymore, if you have an eve in the right area to see "both" satelites with one dish you are in good shape, if not, they have to put two smaller dishes to get all the channels. 10. They will program all the boxes at each TV location , and you are done.
Not so bad, eh?
Alternatevily, If you go to Walmart aor walmart.com and order one of these for each TV that is not already a SmartTV,
https://www.walmart.com/ip/Roku-Premiere-4K-HDR-Streaming-Player/886364048?wmlspartner=wlpa&selectedSellerId=0&adid=22222222222254400309&wmlspartner=wmtlabs&wl0=e&wl1=o&wl2=c&wl3=74560718122854&wl4=pla-4578160282377632&wl5=&wl6=&wl7=&%20wl10=Walmart&wl12=886364048_0&wl14=walmart%20roku%20device&veh=sem
Then go online and look at HULULive and YouTubeLive and pick the one that you like best. Tigernet Poll with about 100 respondents had the favorite as YouTubeLive for a number of reasons.
Plug the ROKU into an available HDMI port , and sign up online you will have LiveTv streaming in less than 30 minutes. Then unplug all that dish equipment and ask them to send you some return boxes so that you dont get charged hundreds of dollars in fees for missing some date.

Find you a local provider/installer. Much easier to work with. I've got a guy that I call in my town that's a "Preferred ATT INstaller" and he has all the same deals, etc. and he will tell me EXACTLY when he's coming to my house, won't take off like a scalded dog when he's done and will actually come back if needed to fix something. The other guys are all subs that come from who knows where (my dish guy last time came from over 250 miles away...)
If you live near the midlands of SC, I can give you a name/number for my dude.
I'm about to switch from Dish to Direct (for about the 3rd time) due to no ACCN and due to rising costs...after about 2 years they start screwing you over.

Also, a local dealer will put you in front of the line. I called yesterday and will have it installed this weekend.
