flight you have ever been on. Secondly, does anyone know what is the longest commercial that currently exist? Just curious, and bored.

LAX to Singapore: ~18 hours.
One leg of DC IAD to Kuala Lumpur - 30 hours from door to door.

Atlanta to LAX, about as long as I want to be on an Airplane. I wouldn’t mind going to Australia but after covid mess.

Riyadh, Saudi Arabia to New York. Many years ago. About 28 hours as I recall. With no alcohol available in Saudi Arabia, bar opened just after take off. Large contingent of USA military contractors took immediate advantage, got looping drunk, passed out, woke and did it all over again just in time for New York landing. Worst flight ever for me.

Riyadh Airport is a heII hole and Riyadh itself is no picnic either ... though the stars can be beautiful at night in the desert.

I flew every 2 or 3 months from Dallas to Hong Kong for several years.. 16.5 hours. Thank god for business class and sleeping berths.

back in the day. I remember when they opened up the DFW station with freighter service. Passenger service came later.

Can't remember exactly, but maybe Okinawa to Viet Nam or Hawaii to Okinawa or Viet Nam to Sydney, Australia ..... but may have stopped in the Philippines on that one.

I've taken several long haul flights

1 Houston to Auckland NZ
2 Newark NJ to Hong Kong (first leg was Houston to Newark)
3 Dubai to Houston. Numerous times. Lost count.
There are many others but I believe these are the longest for me.
The largest commercial aircraft is the Airbus A380. My nickname for it is the Space Porky (Google a photo of it to see why). It has an exceptional Business Class.
The airline industry was fun for me. Got to see a lot of the world (all 6 continents) and experience incredible cultures.
However, I'm glad to be retired. Will resume jetting around on my own dime with my wife when restrictions are lifted.

Narita to Mnpls
My wife did the DL flight to South Africa where they stop on a non-residential island for fuel and take off right away.

longest I know of is New York to Singapore at just under 18 hours.
Perth to London is also around that time, and LAX to Singapore is the exact same as New York because of the strong headwinds for that route.

Seoul SK to ATL.....was brutal. I swore when i stepped off that plane i would never take that long of a non stop ever again. It was a little over 18hrs.
