Downtown Anderson hotels

May 18, 2021, 3:37 AM

Is this a good option for football weekends? I don't know much about Anderson but there is a Home2Suites by Hilton with rooms for the FSU weekend at $107. Any thoughts?

Anderson is a great option for a hotel

I'm not sure about this Home2Suites, but Anderson is only about 25 minutes from Clemson. Nice restaurants (Sullivan's!) in downtown Anderson. It's not Greenville, but it's closer and has good food & cold beer!

Go Tigers AND Stay Well Clemson Nation!

I work in DT Anderson. The Home2Suites is brand new. In fact, it is still under construction but should be opening in the next month or two. Another option is a small boutique hotel named The Bleckley Inn. Very nice property with about 15 rooms. Will be more upscale than the other but more costly.

Those are the only 2 hotels in DT Anderson I think. You could stay up Clemson Blvd towards thr Interstate but would he like staying on Woodruff Rd in Gville.

DT Anderson is OK.....not much in terms of nightlife if that is your think but a few decent restaurants.....Sullivans, Summa Joes, and Maki Sushi.

We have stayed at the Holiday Inn in DT Anderson before, and it is good. The restaurant sucks, but there are restaurants you can walk to from it that we used to eat at that are fine.

I actually booked that Home2Suites because they had better rates and cancellation policy than the DT HI. But I think it will be a nice hotel because it is new and Hilton properties are ok. It is also way cheaper than the hotels at exit 19B-which have gotten almost as outrageous as Clemson.

Another option if you have never tried it is the Holiday Inn or the Hampton Inn off of Exit 27. We have stayed there, and both of those are ok too. There aren't many restaurant options here though. We just eat at the McDonald's for dinner if we stay here. The hotels both have breakfast. Waffle House is well the Waffle House.

I am anxious to give this new Home2Suites a try. I bet the rates are good because they are trying to attract business.

Papas and Beer, my favorite Mexican restaurant, and Sues, my favorite sports bar for wings, are both located within a mile of the Holiday Inn on Exit 27. You definitely have to give both a try!

Go Tigers!!!

Home2suites will be open for football season. A friend is a part of this development and everything he does is done right. Should be a great option not only for football but graduation etc...

Some people like hamburger and others steak. Anderson is burger and Greenville is steak.

The Home2Suites in Greenville is fantastic! A great concept. I wouldn't be afraid to book the new one in Anderson.

The Bleckley Inn in downtown Anderson is spectacular: 864-225-7203. May already be full for home games.

I would go Home2Suites or The Bleckley Inn

There are some good restaurants downtown... Sullivan’s, J Peters Bar & Grill, Earle Street Kitchen and Bar, SummaJoes, Doolittle’s, etc..
