Dorian O'daniel and Gallman should switch positions....

O'daniel played running back in high school 90% of the time and looked really good doing it. Looked like his natural position to me. Gallman played linebacker in high school 90% and looked decent doing it. I wish the coaches would give DD a shot. Gallman just doesn't look like a running back at all to me.

I really don't think the issue is with our running backs as much as it is our offensive line. We got NO push at all. So it wouldn't matter if we had Todd Gurley. With no push and handing the ball of 6-7 yards deep to gain 1 or 2 yards it is going to be difficult. Countless times I saw linemen pull and it no one and several times they just fell down.

I most certainly agree that our OL is awful but when hasn't it been?. We haven't had a good OL in a line long, long time but Ellington had 2 back to back 1,000 yd rushing seasons and Mcdowell had a 1,000 yd rushing season last year. None of those lines were much better than the one we have this year. I think we have a talent issue right now at the RB position. Our four main RB's so far this season are a guy that only had one D1 offer as a RB(Howard), a walk on(Davidson), a guy that played LB in high school(Gallman) and a guy that played an option QB(Choice). Our other RB is a guy that played baseball for the last several seasons(Fleming) and had no real D1 offers out of high school. I think Choice can be a good one for us but he is still learning to play RB. I don't ever see Gallman being much more than a situational RB for us.

Again get a clue, Gallman was a 4 star RB and so was Choice

and since you didn't know plenty of high school players play both ways. Not a single recruiting service was projecting Gallman at LB, or even talked about him at LB.

I'm quite aware that most high school players play both ways. Ar least the good ones anyway. I wasn't saying anyone projected him as a LB. Was just saying he played much more LB in high school than RB. And the only recruiting service that had him listed as a 4 star was ESPN and not as a RB but an athlete. Look I hope he proves me wrong. But don't ever see him being the kind of elite RB we are used to at Clemson.

and since you didn't know the type of offense his high school ran was an old school offense that uses a rotation of backs like GT does.

I'll bet you $1000 dollars he will never rush for 1,000 yds in his Clemson career.

and he is a good RB, the oline has to open up holes. He only had like 1 carry last night.

Gallman weighs 8 less lbs than O'Daniel and Burell who are lb's in our system.

high school. Not a single school was recruiting him to play LB. Burrell rarely plays, and O'Daniel is a freshman who is still learning on the bench and weight to add before he starts playing. O'Daniel will eventually add weight.
