Phase two reopening

Clemson's plan to implement phase two of reopening on June 15 will not happen on that date due to the recent spike in cases in the state. Trends in this area are encouraging but right now, June 15 is not happening.

Right now.. Not a lot. This is more for the employees and students and classrooms. But it's a measuring stick for getting back to normal.

Case count is not going down any time soon even with masks and distancing. With everything opened up, we are going to have more spreading.
At some point, we have to deal with it. The student population is among the least vulnerable. Tired comparison, but they don't shut the school down during a bad flu season.

Cases are spiking up considerably in Texas.
I think people are getting complacent because of optimism about the future. Fewer people are using masks. It's very concerning.

You mean testing more people mean we have more positives? What a revelation. Guess we should all stay home until we either stop testing or there's an amazing end to those testing positive in, maybe, a few years. Its amazing how easily duped some people are.

This is getting way past the point of ridiculousness. In order to build up an immunity you have to be out and about, this happens with every virus. I am so tired of the lies, half truths, innuendo aand flat out government overreach. Either stay home and be a recluse or go live life. I choose to live, I am 62 years old, diabetic, and look at it as everyday is a blessing from GOD and to waste how ever many more I have is stupid. But it is a choice we all have to make.

A couple of thoughts. I lost a friend to Covid 19, so the virus is not a joke to me. I also just learned thirty mins ago that my coworker at school tested positive for Covid 19 antibodies. All of the rest of us were negative. So I am wondering how easy the virus spreads. At some point in time you have to weigh risk versus reward just like purchasing insurance. We have to find our new normal and move on.
