So, afdawg said that the reason Clemson has a better record than the bullpups in the playoff era is because they play in the ACC...

So I answered with this:

Clemson has played 6 different SEC teams in the playoff era...for a total of 16 games. They have a 12-4 record in those games.

Georgia has played those same 6 teams 19 times in the playoff era, and has a 10-9 record!

Blows your theory wide open!

I am still waiting for a reply!

I'm sure the reason for Georgia's worse record was having to run the gauntlet of USuck, Vandy, Tenn, and UK in the East along with the occasional tilt with Miss St, Ole Miss, and Arkansas. That SEC is badass at the top. Elsewhere it's much like the ACC.
