Both correct. Thought it was hilarious. Needed reliability and versatility.

Tesla doesn’t make a van

Mar 17, 2022, 2:40 PM

Even if they did they probably wouldn’t use something for maintenance that they could sell for a very large profit. It’s analogous to a bullpen catcher in baseball. You’re not gonna wear out a starter, or even a backup, warming up middle relievers in the pen.
At any rate this vehicle is probably used to service the super charger network; which means it would need to travel several hundred miles a day. For local customer mobile service appointments they employ used traded in Model S sedans as service vehicles. EVs are really great if you are traveling less than 300 miles a day, if you need more range than that each day gas is still the way to go.

Would be looking at 3 two hour charges for a six hundred mile trip. Best bring a good book for the down time.

so to go camping later.

LOL but i’m not kidding.

Check out the long black canvass-covered awning like those used on smaller Class B camper Vans and attached to vehicle or to the luggage rack you see.

I saw one of the Mercedes’ models only goes 87 miles on a home charge. Sheeeesh. But tax credits for all buyers. And manufacturers.

I read some production lines are closing down due to no chips.
I would pay extra $$$ for a car with no chip.
In the day could work on my car, now not so much.

It is similar to when automatic windows which replaced the crank ones which always worked.

Tesla

Mar 17, 2022, 6:59 PM

My wealthy neighbor moved in from California with a Tesla.
I have an old Jeep, but we are still friendly.

The deal is few charging stations in this area. He traded it for a Honda hybrid.
