Well, NCAA keeps it. This link does not take into account any return yards.
We are 61st after 2 games. SCAR punter is 27th.

Punting stats are hard. https://www.ncaa.com/stats/football/fbs/current/individual/17

Mostly because it is due to positioning, not due to talent or execution.

You punt less often/after a small drive, the punter's stats will look horrible. Otherwise, the best punters are those often with only 2-4 wins... like south carolina.

South Carolina after a 4th and 22 from their own 15 yard line will have better looking stats since they just have to boom it.... if they don't turn it over before hand.

Coots rank 27th with 44 yards per punt at 10 punts.

Clemson ranks 61st often because we are making it a precision drop than a desperate long kick.

While I agree with your overall assessment, we only "pooch" kicked it one time in the 2nd game. The other punts were less than stellar. Bottom line - too early to tell what we got.

They weren't bad. One good one, one save, one pooch, and an acceptable one under pressure. Four right?

He caught that really high snap in the 3rd and got it away? Granted, it was not a great kick but a good catch and then off it went. The last on in the 4th, Furman brought everyone when he was at the goal line. You go for a arch, not full distance. He got that one up and away.

Swanson looked GREAT against Tech. Not so well against Furman. That's with all things taken into consideration.
