9:00 game on a school night is a tough putt. Especially with most of Greenville mad being 1+ hour away.
We make all 6&7pm week night games.

Pretty sure he was referring to Fans with Kids, considering the Greenville 1+ hour away mention as well.
From what I hear, the student turnout was pretty good.

MOST people don't have school/work on Sunday morning.

Or at least people should be excited about it.
We play hard, we move the ball well, we shoot the three well, and we are winning games against good competition.
As I've said before, if Clemson basketball isn't exciting to our fans, then maybe they just aren't basketball people.

I get it with Spectrum. In Summerville area, it is like channel 318 give or take a couple. Espn = 300, Espn = 301 and Bally is just few channels higher. I think it might be located in lower numbers around 32 but lower numbers used to not be HD so I stick to larger number channels as they were the HDs.

my senior year, loved to go to games there, as we thought we had graduated up into the big time with that new facility!
I know the old adage about winning drawing fans, but with our venue sitting right on campus, there is no excuse for the SGA not taking the lead into working with campus organizations to get students in the seats. There's something about an uproarous crowd cheering that enervates a team, much as I've witnessed in DV for years. Might not win every game, but the support will be a heck of a morale boost to our teams.

Usually i go to every game, but non conference late night and the ones around Christmas are usually pretty sparse. Acc games are usually pretty full.
If you dont like how the crowd looks… i say be the change you seek. Go to the games and support the team as much as you can.

It is more difficult to go to games this year because Lot 5 is shut down so Dabo can have bricks and trees. You should buy a ticket and cone to a game. This team is fun to watch.

I know! And i understand projects move parking around… but the radio silence on the parking passes was ridiculous. I emailed the director of parking (who knew there was such a role) to complain and was completely ignored. Not even a “sorry for the inconvenience”.
I have a bad feeling this is a test run to get rid of parking passes to save money.

We do not have a winning culture in basketball. We are not socially known as a basketball school. Winning games puts fans in seats. It is like any sports. Seriously consider teams that once was winning every year how many fans were at the games. Now that they are not very good the numbers dwindle. I recently went to a Houston Texans game. There were hardly half full and there were more Washington Commander fans than Texan fans. A few years ago when Watson was playing the stadium was loud, full and energized.
Three things will change our basketball attendance, in my opinion. The first is we have to win more than half our conference games consistently. We have no tradition and socially there are better options for college kids to do then to go to the game. Secondly, we need a big time player to finally choose us. We were close with Zion Williamson. I was excited and shocked when he chose Duke. That would have been a game changer for Clemson basketball and Brownell perhaps. Thirdly, find ways to entice the students to attend again.
Lastly, the difference with football and basketball is the amount of games. Football you get 6-8 times a year to cheer your team and with basketball it is double that. The season seems longer. Brownell's style of basketball is dull to some people also. Not saying that some people do not appreciate it, yet realizing that some do not find it as thrilling.
Anyways, I support Brownell until the end of the season. I am excited about this team. They seem to have heart and are really just learning to play together. There are many moving parts and am ready to see how it all plays out.
Go Tigers, in every sport we play. Even the club teams!!

People don't attend Clemson football games for the game itself. At least most don't. They go for tailgating, socializing, eating, drinking, etc. If it were just a matter of showing up to football games to watch the game and go home, with none of the other stuff, we wouldn't see as many fans there.
Basketball, of course, has no tailgating. It isn't about the social scene. You are typically going because you care about basketball.
Your point about there being a lot more basketball games is a good one.
