We are going to give them the 20th welcome to the ACC tour on Saturday night when we beat their butts!
We match up so much better against them. Let’s win by 30!
HumbleServant® I thank the good Lord for people who understand football like yourself and a few others.
You said it, "we match up so much better against them"! Too many of our fellow TNET posters don't understand that. In boxing, they say, "styles make fights"! Well, NC States' style is in our wheelhouse. Wake's offense in particular - much like a service academy running the option - is hard to impossible to simulate in practice!
I might even say; "it's harder to simulate Wake's offense than it is to simulate the option"! Why? Because people have maybe coached against the option before or coached the option before - Wake is about the only team that runs that offense though! So, little to no chance to get it covered in terms of adjustments. Wake did a good job of pushing their mesh point back in anticipation of Clemson being able to push it back anyway. Again, something you can't anticipate exactly.
I think people are going to see a dominant defense Saturday!
I watched the press conference and he was only responding to a question from the reporter. In no way was he making an excuse about anything. I’m fact you could tell he was ready to get playing but also was very complementary to the Tigers and the coaches. Stop making something out of nothing.
Probably already called Norvell about how to get out of taking a loss to Clemson. First Covid and now the Hurricane. I also hear he's bringing his Commodore 64 computer since he now knows Clemson has computers on the sidelines
Oh god. I can hear D-head Doeren now. "We lost because of the rain. It only rained when we had the ball. Clemson used weather balloons to fluctuate the wind speeds and clouds in favor of them. And our guys were tired from the rainy bus ride."
