Went to Game 1 in Greenville tonight

and had a great time with my family.
1) For an off-campus venue, BSW Arena is pretty sweet. Nice job of installing that semipermanent Clemson gate on the exterior and working hard to get graphics and visuals throughout the arena to make Tiger fans feel at home as much as possible.
2) To echo a few other posts, very pleased with the dominating win tonight as well. I was particularly impressed with our defense severely limiting their offensive production in the first half. Absolutely stifling and controlled the glass well.
3) I raised an eyebrow a time or two at the unrewarded effort put forward by Nnoko, et al. in the post - guards seemed unmotivated to play inside-out game and settled for some contested jump shots instead of passing inside to bigs for post-ups or for kickbacks for cleaner, uncontested perimeter shots. Just an observation.
Go Tigers - slap the cartoon face off that goofy piece of citrus tomorrow...

I went also. Very small crowd. Atmosphere was lousy. Most of the seats are behind the basket as it is a hockey arena. Will really be glad to get back to LJ next year. The team played pretty well. I didn't go to the exhibition but we obviously played much better tonight.

I'd like to see it at the Duke game I bet it gets packed out. Our fans are pretty lousy id be pissed if I was on the team. I went and I have been to 1a high school basketball games that meant nothing that were way more loud than that place was. Glad our boys showed up and balled out I thought NCC would be a little bit of a challenge.

and wine. Big glass of beer was $9.50 which I thought was a little steep. Liked the arena and if you are traveling from Columbia, it is quite a bit of time saved.
