Are DK’s gun and drug charges still pending? If so, how can he play or practice with UGA?

I am curious. What makes you think that a couple of misdemeanor charges which occurred prior to enrolling at UGA would somehow limit his ability to practice/play? Are you new to college football?

Pretty sure he did the pre trial intervention thing so charges are dropped when he completes the program (which he may have started). Haven’t seen anything official on when he’s eligible.

Pretty sure someone with knowledge said that he will complete his community service and PTI stuff just in time to start summer workouts with UGA. But he is not currently cleared to play. It's all on him to finish his PTI requirements at this point and if he does he will be on the field game one.

I've heard he's not practicing with the team, though? Have you heard he is?
From what I heard, they set him up to play and practice in California or something while the legal part is sorted out (i.e., not with the team in Athens).

The article posted a couple of days ago said that his charges “may” get dismissed just in time for him to play against Clemson. I’m sure Kirby and the powers that be in Athens will make sure that happens.

One does not get jail time for some pot and a legal gun (or an illegal one).
He is looking at some community service and a fine. Community service is kinda a joke, but the jails are over crowded. Anyway, jail would not be justice for this.
UGA really needs this guy. I have not read where he is in Athens or has signed. UGA could care less as to character. They need a quick fix. My understanding is he could play 2 more years?
All bleeding hearts hope he does well and matures. I do too. It aint like he is Al Capone.
I hate this portal thing. At the very least there should be a rule to where a kid cannot transfer to an opponent who is on the schedule. His biggest value to UGA is his knowledge of Tigers.

My question is how much will he play for them after the Clemson game? Not knocking his talent, because he obviously has that. Just saying you know he was promised the moon so Kirby could get a little insight. I know teams change play calling, but going against guys in practice for years could easily give some insight and tendencies.
Oh well.
