Sad to say but I think no chance. The way the loudest part of our fan base treated his brother this year probably didn’t help (not the majority).

His choosing elsewhere will have nothing to do with that. Let's ignore how stupid it is to think fans play any role in recruiting (UGA and Bama turn on players instantly but they land 5 Star after 5 Star. He's been very vocal that he's very interested in music production and wants that as his career after football. Clemson and the state of South Carolina have nothing to offer on that front. I suspect he stays home and goes to USC.

I think most Clemson fans have given up on DJ. I have heard almost nothing but negativity about the poor guy. Even when a WR or a RB drops a pass right in their hands, it's DJ's fault according to Joe Fan.

By this time Matayo U. will have had a bunch of feedback from brother DJU about life in small town Clemson compared to big town LA.
Maybe DJU loves the "Green Acres" environment vs. the noisy & often dangerous LA area.
Maybe DJU is unhappy with the idyllic rural environment and longs for the West Coast cities where selfish & sociopathic behavior is glamorized by the media.
Either way, DJU and "Big Dave" are apparently willing to see if the Clemson platform will get DJU to the NFL. So whether DJU has warmed to the small-town life or whether he is simply enduring it, he seems to be smart enough to recognize that transferring to big city school ... which would almost certainly be a program (1) less well-known, (2) poorer players / supporting cast, and (3) less patient coaches than what he's got at Clemson ... would not be his best short term move to get to the NFL.
Matayo, on the other hand, can more easily find adequate coaching for D-Ends wherever he goes for college. He can get plenty of limelight playing on any of the high profile urban PAC-12 schools (if he wants the big city environment), or he'd probably be welcomed at Clemson (if he's intrigued about experiencing small-town college life). But Matayo's options for being developed properly are far easier to find than a QBs options for finding the optimal situation for being developed and for being seen.
After this long diatribe, the summary is: Darn few of us have a clue about where Matayo has interest, or why he has interest in the schools that have his attention at this time.

Pretty certain he's staying on the West coast. He prefers the big city vibe and wants to be near "music" production. Pretty sure his money will be made on the football field not in music but he's a teenager and that's his dream.

From what the recruiting “experts” have said the kid wants to be a music producer when he grows up; maybe that’s from growing up with a dad who worked in security for a lot of music industry folks. Apparently the real USC is the place to be to learn that industry and it’s 2,500 miles closer to his home than Clemson. If Lincoln Riley comes in and shows that he has them on a path to relevance it could seal the deal.
