DJ and COVID Vaccine

This may have been discussed before, but since we are so thin at QB and with the real possibility of COVID surges this Fall and Winter, I wonder if DJ has taken the vaccine or will choose to do so? When Trevor went out with COVID, it was great that we had DJ as the backup.
If DJ were to go out with COVID, our season could be wrecked. As evidenced by what recently occurred with Jon Rahm and the NCSU baseball team, COVID remains as more than an inconvenience.
It's DJ's body and certainly his right to not take the vaccine if he hasn't already, but I hope this does not become an issue this season.

then it doesn't really matter. Look at NC ST for the example. NC St had a positive test from an unvaccinated player. So, then the whole team was tested, even vaccinated players. 4 vaccinated players were also positive.
So, under the current guidelines, the more teammates you have who are vaccinated, the less testing occurs, so you're less likely to have a positive.
But, if you have a positive, and everyone is tested... then DJ could very well be vaccinated, yet still test positive and have to miss 2 games due to quarantine.
It's absolutely insane what we are doing.

But they'll allow NC St players with Covid to watch the game among the 22,000 fans, so I don't guess they are actually trying to protect others from Covid.

I don't think that many believe that, bc, if they were paying attention, they knew that it didn't prevent you from coming in contact with covid, it prevents you from getting seriously ill or dying from contracting covid. But they do believe that a vaccinated person is less likely to spread the virus to other people, and that it's self is a win win against the covid virus!!!

It reduces your chances of getting sick, seriously sick, or dying from covid.
This notion of "eliminating covid" thru vaccination is completely wrong. The hope is to eliminate deaths due to covid by vaccination. Covid 19 could be here forever . The science is still being sienced.

There are many problems.
Covid is highly contagious, but not nearly as deadly as we were led to believe.
The way the data is taken, the PCR test itself, which is incredibly flawed because of the test itself and how they are using and implementing the data.
So there are flaws inherently in the test, but then they are picking in choosing how they use the test, and then of course how they collect and publish the data. So that is three different problems simply regarding the testing.

But from what I read if all the players had been vaccinated nobody would have had to be tested. Only unvaccinated players had to be tested. So if you vaccinate everyone, nobody has to be tested. If anyone is positive, nobody knows. Then you get to play.
NCSU had unvaccinated players that had to be tested. That's how they got tripped up. Just vaccinate all the players and be done with it. Then you get to play no matter what because nobody is tested. Then maybe you win the championship...I wonder if those unvaccinated players wish they were vaccinated now. They might have won it all.
I'm sure there are health reasons not to be vaccianated so I do not know why members of the team were not vaccinated. But it seems like a no brainer to me when the stakes are that high that you vaccinated the whole team, all the coaches, etc.
Just my thoughts.

I’m no medical expert but I’m 35, with 2 kids and 1 on the way. My wife and I are not vaccinated and will not be in the immediate future. In my opinion there’s not enough data for the younger population. And I will not be giving it to my children. There’s no data either way that I’m aware of on fertility and or any other long term heart/organ issues. Who knows what kind of long lasting effects there are or could be?
If I was 55+ I would get vaccinated….but at this moment in my life I’ll take my risk as a healthy person. No way should we force anyone to get vaccinated bc they’re an athlete or enrolled in any public school.

Everybody vaccinated are given a card with the date, time, and the vaccine that was administered. If you have that card, it will show if you've had one, or both vaccinations. I have my card that shows that I have had both shots of the Pfizer vaccine, and I'm glad that I got it, NO REGRETS!!!!!
Personally, I really don't give a chit who gets vaccinated or not, it's your life, risk it if that's what you want. But when the world shuts down again bc the covid virus has gotten out of control with those that hasn't had the vaccine, and you're one of them, you don't have the right to complain bc you are part of that problem whether you've contracted covid or not, bc, you're the ones saying I will not be vaccinated, and that word travels fast among the ones just like you!!!!

80% of the people that have died in American from Covid are over the age of 65. 80% of the people that died fhave been obese and had diabetes. This is data straight from the CDC.
Less than 1200 people under the age of 25 have died from Covid.
There has never been a shred of evidence a mask is needed outdoors and only true surgical masks are effective and even they are only marginally effective depending on the situation.
The kids have been back in school since last fall in Charleston County. I assume most of South Carolina.
There never ever ever should’ve been lockdowns and shut downs. The deaths have been grossly over counted. Think about all the people that died just because of stupidity, like putting Covid patients in a nursing home, putting Covid patients all over the hospital to infect other patients, the fact that you can die from cancer or a car accident and be counted as dying from Covid. All the people that died because they were out on ventilators or untreated due to ignorance or government incompetence !
The mortality rate is much lower than we’ve been told and we were manipulated by fear mongering and propaganda. The real numbers are different because of the examples above, plus the fact that millions of people that were asymptotic or only had mild symptoms but never got tested. Not to mention the millions that were exposed and developed antibodies but never got sick or tested.
Covid is serious and highly contagious. It is not highly deadly, especially if you are young or middle-aged and healthy.
High school, college and professional athletes have a greater chance of dying in a car accident than dying from Covid.
These lockdowns have been about power and control!
And there won’t be massive lockdowns again because people will be up in arms! People are starting to sue and win lawsuits against mask mandates and vaccines.
By the way, when New York was locked down 65% of their cases were coming from people in quarantine. California had the most asinine lockdown of any state, but yet Costco and CVS and other large corporations remained open, while small businesses and restaurants were crushed! BLM and antifa were allowed to riot and protest, but white people and Jews were arrested for going to church or having a wedding or funeral. Do you think Covid knows the difference in Costco versus a family owned business? Do you think Covid knows whether I’m at an antifa riot or a church service?
Covid, like the facts, doesn’t give a #### about your feelings!

If college football is going to have a National Championship based off who a got a shot, then good luck. It’s crap like this that I believe has honestly taken the enjoyment out of college sports and I’ll just say being in charge of ticket sales for a college team is going to be a tough job in the future

I'm not advocating that DJ take the vaccine if he hasn't already. I'm not at all sure I would take it if I were his age. To be honest, I seriously doubt I would. I'm simply being Captain Obvious and that with our current QB situation, if DJ were to test positive the Tigers would be in trouble.
However, he apparently made it through last season without COVID despite Trevor having COVID. I hope we remain lucky. I don't know that anyone is advocating mandatory vaccines for college students or athletes. I definitely am not.

It’s just stupid. It’s the NCAA continuing to show that they are another organization taken over by far left ideology. There is absolutely zero science and zero data behind this. Actually, the science and the data show that kids should not get vaccinated. And we know for a fact that the PCR test is very very flawed and a lot of people I mean a pretty high percentage of people are either a false positive or they only show positive because of the way the test is conducted but they don’t actually have Covid. You can be positive and it can be because of the way the test replicates or a false positive. It’s just more proof the test sucks and we should not be testing young athletes at all!
Many schools will not require vaccinations nor testing this fall for students. Clemson needs to wake up and get with the Science!
Lawsuits are popping up everywhere and being won by students and people pushing back on mask mandates and vaccinations. this is rapidly becoming like abortion, a private medical matter between the person and their doctor. A student at the University of Florida just won a huge case where he said #### you about wearing a mask. Colleges are going to be going to court left and right unless they get their head out their ### and stop these stupid mandates.
Covid is nowhere nearly as deadly as advertised, which is proven by the data, Data that we know is actually being doctored manipulated. Not to mention using a test that sucks and has a tremendous amount of flaws when dealing with Covid, which it was not created for.
These kids have a better chance of getting killed or hurt in a car accident on the way to football practice than from Covid. These people need to wake up and get their head out their ### and quit being controlled by the Internet and the media and social media and left wing ideology.

Which helps prove my point. Even if you have comorbidities it doesn’t mean Covid is going to kill you or even put you in the hospital. But, 80% of the people that have died were 65 and older or overweight and had diabetes. So Covid is pretty selective and the data shows who the people with the high risk factors are.
I have been following this closely from the beginning. I have always followed the science and watched the data and the numbers. Roughly 1/2 of 1% of the world population has died from Covid. That is a lot of people. But that is a drop in the bucket to what a truly dangerous pandemic would do to the population. Historically speaking, Covid is not a big deal. But I know people freak out and say I’m a cold SOB and I don’t care about life, which is totally ridiculous, but you have to put these things into context and perspective. The reality is heart disease and cancer kill over 1.5 million people every year. And it will keep killing 1.5 million people every year despite the fact that we now know that diet plays a major role in people dying of these diseases. And government policy has a huge impact on our diet and the food industry. That won’t change until the government changes its policy on the food pyramid and policies regarding corn and high fructose corn syrup and tells people to start eating a keto or carnivore diet and live a healthier lifestyle and cut out processed foods. But none of that will ever happen because we have a corrupt government and crony capitalism which is why capitalism is failing and why our government is becoming more and more corrupt and authoritarian. These changes would also help dramatically reduce the cost of medical care in America. But then that’s a completely different conversation, but one that has been corrupted with propaganda and faults information!
