Differences & Similarities Between ND DJ and 2021 DJ
Sep 26, 2021, 9:56 AM
Just watched every offensive play from ND…
1) 2021 has no Amari Rodgers in slot 2) 2021 has no ETN, which effects defensive scheme against us (see #3) 3) ND played 4-3-4 defense all night. 2021 teams are playing 3-3-5 and daring us to run knowing we can’t because of OL woes 4) DJ was still immobile - 13 rushes for 2 yards 5) Play calling for ND was vastly different than anything we’ve seen this year. Lots of YAC’s 6) DJ’s footwork was better against ND but still bad. When he missed (and misses today) it’s bad
If nothing changes, I don’t have a lot of confidence after watching the ND game for four reasons: 1) DJ looks worse this year (footwork, decision making) 2) Play calling appears worse this year 3) Defensive scheme against us is obvious and we have no answer 4) We have zero running threat that could change a defense’s strategy

This is an incredibly lucid and "spot on" analysis of DJ and the current state of our offense. I continue to say that until the OL is "fixed" and that's very difficult to do mid season, esp with our current players, DJ will not be successful at Clemson.
