The 2 losses by #2 seed FSU(54-7) on their home field today has got to be the biggest set of upsets in the history of the NCAA Softball Tournament...read where Mississippi State(15 NCAA Tournament appearances) had never been to a Super Regional until today

field in the supers on a walk off homerun. 2010 or 2011 I think. Only one comparable that I can think of. Upsets much rarer in softball than baseball.

Yes but best pitchers have to have the bats to get runs on the board. Most of the best pitchers in softball and baseball have the hitting skills to help them when needed.

That call got reversed leading off the final at bat. Ruled safe on the field. No way that should have been overturned that.
Seems to me when they showed the SR bracket there was more than just FSU missing and multiple teams without a number beside them advancing.

There were quite a few upsets. 11 sec teams made the tournament. 3 advanced and zero picked miss st. And Texas is on the verge of upsetting Washington. Texas out of the losers bracket.
FSU doesn't make many blunders but their pitching rotation wasn't good. No need to pitch sandercock in the South Fla game.
My heart sank for Sydney Sherrill. Really felt for her. No disrespect to mads, she's just a frosh, but if we had Syd on this year's team, we'd be looking at a serious run. Can't imagine her and logoleo in the infield together... And having Syd's bat.

I remember FSU football from the 90’s. I’m gonna need to see 50 years of all FSU sports losing before I can begin to think about not disliking FSU at the “Old Testament Level”.

Clemgal, I love Maddie, had some freshman jitters and needs to come around at the plate. First time I saw her I knew she was going to be a star. Hope I am right.

We're great run with the pitchers we got. FSU HC pitched her too much for sure. I agree no need South Florida game Fact she was 30-1 sounds like she started most of the games. She shouldn't have had to pitch both games versus Mississippi State. Few other team in regionals some of the games have 2 pitchers kept pitch count down. For cases where needed to pitch 2 games in one day
