Did Texas' chance to win go down with their ex-Buckie blonde QB

Sep 12, 2022, 10:44 AM

being grounded in the ground purposely?

I think so since 2nd stringer was valiant but not as talented.

LBB, me think Texas was doomed to lose after the 1st Team QB went out but I was surprised. Bama was lucky to pull a win out in the game. Either Bama is not that good or Texas is better than most of us thought they would be at this time of the year. After the game folks who was watching the game with me were sure that Texas is for real this year. Only time will tell.

I think this "not landing with your weight on the QB"

Sep 12, 2022, 10:55 AM

penalty call is one of the most bogus in football. If you are rushing head on, and make a perfect form tackle, your weight being on top of what you just tackled is EXACTLY where it should be.

I agree with keeping away from helmet to helmet contact, or spearing, or any of that, but trying to control where somebody's weight goes when they make a tackle is a bridge too far.

I seem to remember that Wilkins did that to FSU

Texas wins that game if they pick up that 3rd and 3. but...

Missing a 20 yard field goal didn’t help either

Had they not missed that field goal Alabama would’ve had to have a touchdown to win.

Re: Missing a 20 yard field goal didn’t help either

well, depends on when that missed fg was. to be honest, i'm not sure when it was. unless it's late in the game, the game dynamic changes. but, if it was late in the game and they woulda needed a TD.. they woulda got a TD. (i think, anyway).

but, that 3rd and 3 was most crucial. if they (texas) pick it up, they can hold the ball til the last second and go up w/ a fg w/ no time left for saban.

Of course ... Bama's usual gameplan against an opponent

Sep 12, 2022, 11:11 AM

with a talented QB is to try to hurt the talented QB ASAP.

15 yard penalty for 3 quarters of backup QB ? Saban will take that every week.

Can't wait to hear the big eared chatterbox explain exactly what happened to his

Noon kick ? Texas is better than we thought ? Is Alabama yesterday's news ?

What say you radio head ?
