Did not understand, not a proud moment

I am a proud Tiger fan but the disrespect shown by the student section during the installation of then new enlistee's was an embarrassment. To boo at the mention of the President of the United States, was in poor taste. These young men and women are siging up to fight and lay their life on the line for you and you boo. Very poor judgement. Just try and show some class in the future.

Your hearing aid checked. Remember, the student section is, for better or worse, far more moderate than the rest of conservative south carolina.

It was still not the time or the place. Especially on the day you are honoring your military. End of discussion.

I agree, but don't put the blame on the student section.

Blaming ones younger than you is far too easy. Blame your peers and elders as well if you disapprove, call a spade a spade.
If all of littlejohn is empty for a bball game, student section included, students shouldn't go "Gah, I can't believe no alumni are showing up for a game".

Exactly. I was in the lower part of section E and was pretty sure it was the older folks booing just as much.

the students. There were murmurs around the entire stadium. So don't call out all of the students because there were many, like me, who stood silently until it was over. I agree that those who did participate were very disrespectful to those taking the oath.

it was very, very quiet at that moment throughout the stadium. If 5 people out of 80,000 booed, it would have been heard. It was more of a light murmur.
Somebody posted a video on here yesterday which backed this up. It was barely audible. I've heard more people boo a fan dropping a pop up in the stands than that.
By the way, if the president was doing a better job of things, he wouldn't get so much negative reaction.

It's a lot classier at a sporting event.

to 'boo' their oath to serve the president, when their candidate may well be the president that those men and women will be serving. There's a time and a place, and it's not in DV. Go Tigers!

Boo hoo. It's a football game. People are drunk, and boo prone. It was obvious to anyone watching that no one was booing the military, and that it had everything to do with our suck president.
