Our Administration and Athletic Dept should have never

Nov 15, 2021, 1:09 PM

agreed to playing S.Carolina in Columbia this year after what happened last year. Should have been we play either in Clemson or a neutral site or we skip this year too. But no, not only did we just roll over, but we get stuck with a night game down there too. Uh, you may remember our last night game against them down there...the game had to be stopped multiple times due to objects being hurled onto the field from the stands.

It is in the contract to play in Columbia.

They were able to get out of last year's game in Clemson due to an "act of God" clause.

Did God cause the SEC to decide to only play SEC games?

at least that would have been my argument.

I guess they will learn to be more specific and address the possibilities of pandemics in future contracts.

I don't like going to night games there because their fans are normally more verbally abusive than day games. Mainly thinking of times we lost to them, so hopefully that will not happen this year.

And I'm sure BC feels the same after having to play in Death Valley the last 3 years

Its just a given that Chickens are going to do chicken things like eat their own poop regardless of their environment. We just have to score more points than they do.

Good point. I was frustrated the game wasn't played last year too, but I'm not sure what some of our fans realistically expected us to do. Your example of BC is a good one. How would our fans have reacted if BC refused to come to Clemson this year?

2020 was definitely an anomaly for everyone and football was just a small sliver of that

Just have to stick an asterisk beside it and move on.

It also changed all of the future schedules.
