Did DW not have to sign a confidentiality agreement?

Dec 30, 2017, 11:35 PM

What's up with him teaching JH how to beat Clemson?

Dude has money. Should Dabo sue him?

So it's OK with you if DW is a Bama consultant?

In the context of what was presented in that article?

If so, then the answer is: "Yes, I,am perfectly fine with DW as a 'Bama Conaultant'".

Deshaun talked with him after the game last year according to an article I read earlier. There was no phone calls or special meetings. Misleading headline if what the headline says is true

Glendale and asked for advice and he was gracious and gave him some. Same with Hurts and DW where DW after win was gracious and offered advice. No bring deal. Small peas.

Do you honestly think Deshaun broke down plays for him?

Dec 30, 2017, 11:48 PM

It’s not like he shared the playbook or too secret film with him.

You do know that Deshaun’s loyalty lies with Clemson, right?

From what I understand it was a while back and he really didn’t tell him any secrets or game plan. Sounds to me like two ballers talking. Sure hope our team or coaches don’t react like we have.

Now, what’s crappy is cbs released the story when they did. The reporter probably getting a raise for generating click bait.

I at first typed a long reply, then looking at the time figured that alcohol was flowing nicely through this post.

This is called sportsmanship, players talk and give advice after games.

Mine to you is put down the phone while on the sauce.

Really...advice to be fearless...This is somehow betrayal of trust??? It is a generic statement, and not at all like saying for instance, when you see this formation it will be a run, or defining those big picture signs they us to relay the plays. Get a grip people. When I was working at a factory, giving advice to work hard to a friend who works at a competitor is not unethical. Some of the petty stuff people get worked up over is beyond ridiculous. If Jalen Hurts is reading this...be fearless...while the nasty Clemson defense face plant your tail on the field...be fearless!!!

Re: Did DW not have to sign a confidentiality agreement?

Dec 31, 2017, 8:18 AM

To add to my previous statement...DW4 was a phenominal QB, player, and person while attending Clemson. He owes Clemson nothing, nor does Clemson owe him anything. By the logic some of these fans have, Dabo would be an absolute traitor to Alabama, since he was once a player there. There is no lifetime loyalty oath in sports. DW4 now plays for the Texans in the NFL, and his only loyalty should be to his current team, and if he were to wind up in Pittsburg 2 years from now, his only loyalty would be to them. I know in baseball there have been mid-game trades made in the past. There has even been at least one instance where a trade was made between games of a double header and the player played for both teams in the same day. Kind of hard to wrap your head around that though.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

This is d-mn silly!

Dec 31, 2017, 9:43 AM

Watson gave Hurts generic advice to "be himself and be fearless" which is basically the same advice he gave Kelly Bryant which was not to try be Deshaun and to be himself. It was probably the same advice he would give any young QB that asked. Did he give away formations or plays? No! Did he give away secret plays? Did he give away player tendencies? The fact it is that this is totally generic advice. Nothing to see here but silliness!
