When we offer players just to add a player….someone

Who is not ranked or has no offers…..and they don’t pan out but stay on scholarship for 4 to 5 years….does that not handicap us as in not having an extra scholarship to add the following year to someone that might actually Make a difference and not just a body ??

You mean like our “Stud” WR Frank Ladson who never made a meaningful contribution due to constant injuries during his three years here? You never know how things will work out..

That DB's best offer besides us was GT.
Seems like a massive reach by us, but hopefully it works out.

Also offered by Kentucky and Indiana and West Virginia wanted him to take official visits...kid can play. He's a 3 star offered late by us just like Tanner Muse, Isaiah Simmons and the kid playing now for Philly, a DB who I can't remember his name

K’von Wallace?

That’s who he looks like on film and has a similar build at that stage. Reminds me of a Wallace or a Tyler Venables. Hope he plays with the same attitude.

If they stay healthy and are hard workers, they make a huge difference in practice getting the guys ready and create a good culture. It’s just like adding walk ons. No one can argue having 3-5 walk ons out of the 85 is a bad idea. They can help on special teams and add depth and play on the scout team. That has value.

No one could have imagined the insanity the sport would go through. I expect to sign a very full 2023 class of between 23-28 players, all 3 stars and above. We’ll still have the two guys we picked up this year and will probably always have a few walk ons. But if we have 80 legit players who are contributing or close to contributing I love our odds. We scout better than just about anyone else.

The teams we won championships with were loaded with some 3 star and low 4 star players. Those players were ballers. One of the best guys was a 0 star walk on. 5 stars don’t always pan out. We have done more with less for 10 years.

How many questioned Skalski and Gallman when they arrived, the list goes on and on!

Was a great leader but would he have started for Alabama, UGA, Oklahoma, or Ohio State?
He is one of my favorite players but on pure ability I think he is way overrated on Tnet.
I remember being psyched about Gallman.

Um the four years prior to winning 2016 we had like the #4, #6, #13, and #14. No slouch class there.
Prior to the 2018 class we had the #4, #6, #22, and #8. The outlier and is the #22 class and that class ended up hurting us for the 2019 and 2020 seasons. But for the most part we had a top 15 class and I believe those top 10 classes were the biggest help to us putting us in elite status. We need to average at least a top 10 class to keep up.

Then you’ll end up with a bunch of 4 star guys who leave after 4 games of the season who are whining and not working hard. I’d rather have enough top talent for the two deep and fill the roster with worker bees.

The article states that he played 6A ball here in Georgia and made the All State team. He is going to contribute.

... who was also dissed unmercifully by the MOT when we brought him in.
It would be a great thing if we could bring in a couple of Nolan Turners every year whether they turn out to be “Hunter Renfrows” or not.

Some of you guys have really lost touch with
Jan 16, 2022, 4:27 PM
|
|
1)what was on our previous championship teams as far as players 45-85(and I’m just using that as based on star ratings as many of those guys actually made the 2 deep) 2) how many players actually play in the 4-5 games that that are competitive enough to make the difference between a great season and a playoff season
We are more talented star ratings wise than we’ve ever been and that will be the case regardless of who will fill the class with on the last few slots
