Funny how the Dems don't wanna talk about their feckless party and avoid *Joe like the next Covid variant.

Isn't that odd?

What matters most is EVERYONE IN AMERICA can see for themselves what this truly pathetic Dem Administration is really about... chaos, division, weakening our nation in every way possible and taking as much of our personal liberties away from us as they can before they get kicked to the curb.

November can't get here fast enough!

Yes he can. I don’t have much faith in Americas future when I read posts like that. If people can’t see the destruction the democrat party is causing now they will never see it. Don’t expect people to suddenly open their eyes. It’s shocking how naive people have become.

Check out Neal’s post below. He sums it up pretty well. No, I’m not being dramatic. We are witnessing Marxist encroachment and most people don’t seem to understand that. It needs to be stopped very soon.

defunding police and decriminalizing criminal activity

Jun 19, 2022, 6:44 AM

Which has contributed to an increase in violent crime while pushing legislation to lower our 2nd amendment rights to protect ourselves.

Higher taxes.

Allowing illegal immigrants into the country and paying them with our tax dollars allowing them to use resources that would otherwise be used on legal Americans.

Shutting down certain sectors of the economy, picking winners and losers, during the pandemic.

Forced vaccinations when adequate data was not yet available.

Redistricting to ensure blue counties.

Using the education system to indoctrinate our children without parental consent.

Some of these trample on some peoples liberties while others trample on other peoples liberties, when you take away any Americans liberties, you take all of our liberties.

Re: defunding police and decriminalizing criminal activity

Jun 19, 2022, 7:32 AM

Im not really into the culture war stuff, but to me honestly this list sounds more like a Tucker opening monologue than any real erosion of the freedoms we enjoy. I’m not trying to be a Richard, I just think people get a little melodramatic and over the top talking politics these days.

Just a couple thoughts:

My taxes haven’t been raised since Biden was elected, and I’m fairly certain I’m in the top bracket, or close to it. I was worried they were going to during the whole BBB debate, but it didn’t happen. I know they keep talking about pushing to top marginal rate to 39.7 from 37, but I don’t see it happening (thank you Joe Manchin). Again I’m not defending Biden or anyone, but this just hasn’t happened. The state gov wants to rebate my state taxes with their budget overage, that would be cool.

I just bought a new gun a couple weeks ago. Even though nothing is passed yet, I guess I have to disagree that red flag laws are impinging my civil liberty, I’m in favor of insane or dangerous people holding guns, but I was raised hunting and respecting guns, not putting them on a pedestal and pretending I’m going to use them to fight a revolution against the government. I’m raising my children the same way. I read the bipartisan bill from Cornyn and I agree with it.

I don’t think redistricting is the sole territory of either party.

See what I mean? I think a lot of these points are open to debate. I think conservatives have much stronger arguments than saying generic stuff like liberals are taking away your liberties. I’d like to see conservatives and the party move back to a platform of fiscal restraint, lowering taxes, and staying out of people’s lives. In fact the first party that does that is going to be the one to interest me in politics again.

Re: defunding police and decriminalizing criminal activity

Jun 19, 2022, 7:57 AM

Yea, they like to tout “no tax increases” like the above post, but the average family will spend over $6k more this year for the same goods/services as last year. What’s funny is that the only reason Dems haven’t raised taxes is because of one Senator. One Senator is the only thing standing in the way of an intentional depression

Trump warned Americans that the Dems would destroy the economy. Right again.

top tax bracket is around $650,000 per year

Jun 19, 2022, 7:58 AM [ in reply to Re: defunding police and decriminalizing criminal activity ]

for a married couple.

Congratulations! I think anyone that is paying more than 100k a year in taxes is paying their fair share!

I had my best year ever and still was only 24%. I put away a lot the last couple of years because I am expecting my business sector to crash soon.

Unfortunately for me, I am close to retirement so this recession is going to hurt. I feel bad for people that live paycheck to paycheck or are already retired.

I preached to my kids constantly about financial responsibility. They are young in their 20s. They have done well. Never live beyond your means and don't borrow except for a house and maybe a car if you can get zero or close to zero interest. Your means = 80% of your salary after 10% min in 401k. They listened and are able to weather the storm. A little more spendin on inflation means a little less in personal savings and not choosing between food and gas. There are a lot of people choosing between food and gas.

I am not as worried about the culture war as I am the fiscal responsible war. Republicans are bad but no where near as bad as the democrats when it comes to blowing money.

Re: top tax bracket is around $650,000 per year

Jun 19, 2022, 8:11 AM

Economic concerns and questioning whether fed policy has managed inflation well is a strong point of debate, and I’d like to hear economists or any smart politician explain how we can make this recession brief and as painless as possible.

I’ve lived through recession, and boom times, under several administrations of different political persuasion. I have to sell and buy a new home (again) about 9 months from now, and I’m nervous about it. Hopefully rising rates will cool housing demand and prices, but my top end budget will be lower with higher rates, no doubt.

But we’re not talking about liberties and anyone wanting to take them away, we’re talking about the economy. Let’s just call it what it is without inserting drama about commies and “they.”

I acknowledge this is a losing viewpoint on a political forum that tends to be a little… loose.

Janet Yellen and JPow

Jun 20, 2022, 9:57 AM

pushing the transitory narrative for a year, when many (myself included) knew that was BS was devastating. I'm not taking away accountability for the reasons we were there in the first place, as I've also alluded to many times.

At this point, there's nothing the Fed can do but push us to a deflationary event, and that's what they're doing. Cost of energy is not coming down. The workforce is shrinking. And asset prices are teetering on a cliff.

IMO - Yellen was put in place to work with the Fed, given her experience, to prop up the economy / situation to allow the administration to keep pumping money in - which they tried to do. Instead, they should've been pulling the strings back about 12-14 months earlier and we likely would've been ok.

When I looked it up a while back, I found there were only 2 instances where a Fed chair became Sec of the Treasury. Both situations were near catastrophic - Carter and Biden admins - economically speaking.

We have a centrally planned economy. The politicized Fed should be public enemy number 1, with the Street right on their tails as number 2. They're wagging the dog in Washington to the detriment of all of us pleebs (and yes, even top tax bracket bros like you are in that boat).

Jun 19, 2022, 12:48 PM [ in reply to Re: defunding police and decriminalizing criminal activity ]

What this guy said.

Pretty much sums up my position, right there.

I'd also like to see a coherent energy policy that transitions us to renewables and fills in the grid - which will likely involve some form of nuclear, probably thorium nuclear - and is not fueled by rainbows, moonbeams, high hopes, and good intentions, plus a roadmap on how we're going to reshore essential American industries so what we need here, we make here.

I'd kind of like for America to control America's own destiny again, you know?

Jun 19, 2022, 11:03 AM [ in reply to Re: LOL. ]

I just don’t get these dramatic posts lamenting how horrible life is in America and how you no longer have any rights.

I’m not a Biden fan, and I didn’t vote for him. But he is my president and blaming him for every problem, real or imagined, is ludicrous. You aren’t any less free now than you were under Trump, and Biden isn’t to blame for gas prices or inflation.

You can't just take a data point in time and then bury your head.

Look where things are headed - that is the problem.

-The FBI investigating parents of kids in the public school system.
-The Feds mandating vaccines that do not work (lying about it) and ignoring natural immunity.
-Way too much of the black community nearly completely dependent on the federal government.
-Maxine Waters threatening oil companies that the gov't will take them over.
-Liberal takeover of education continues now with K-3rd graders being taught about choosing your gender.
-Unprecedented corruption - Russian hoax, HB collecting double-digit millions from China/Ukraine (with zero investigation), high-ranking FBI employees tweeting he will not let Trump win the election
-Unprecedented censorship - MSM and social media may as well be state-owned

I mean you would have to have zero knowledge of the history of civilization to brush off what is happening in the USA as no big deal...

Re: LOL / Biden's DOJ targeting parents / school board

Jun 19, 2022, 7:38 PM [ in reply to LOL. ]

Where you been?

Biden's DOJ (via Obama's almost Supreme Court Justice Merrick Garland) is going after parents who speak up passionately at school board meetings ... i.e., public forums in which parents are invited ... not breaking and entering situations.

I guess if you want to argue that this isn't specifically defined as a suppression of a personal liberty, then by all means ... carry on with your propaganda.
