Please pointedly ask the Presidents of the public universities to explain this exit fee increase and why they are so unconcerned to just more than double this for one of their largest budget items athletics.

FSU is struggling to make a profit now and I'm sure others are in the same or similar boat. putting yourself on the hook for that kind of liability after an increase to $20 Mil not long ago seems stupid

They are boxing in the members of the ACC. I doubt anyone can really afford that kind of buyout so they're making sure no one can bolt. We're trapped, boys.

The presidents did it because they didn't want anyone to leave. The legal jargon around the 50M is just saying we want it to be more than anyone would be willing/able to pay. That locks in FSU, Clemson, and now ND for the long run.
