Wouldnt say inept. The Big XII has fielded some strong CFP-era teams. And Im pretty sure that, while only Clemson has sniffed the CFP from the ACC, at least three Big XII teams have come within a game or two of it.

I'll never forget going onto the comment section of an article about Oklahoma written during the 2015 season before the Orange Bowl and seeing an Oklahoma fan make a comment about their offense saying something along the lines of "It's too bad we blow so many teams out because I really want to see how many points this offense can score with the starters playing the full game." There were a ton of comments after the Orange Bowl that said "apparently it's 17."

Sooner fans before the 2015 Orange Bowl .I remember thinking at that time that Sooners saw themselves as still being Barry Switzer's wrecking machine ( with a more high octane offense) and they weren't. I didn't have the same respect for Oklahoma in 2015 that I had for them in 88 when Clemson played them in the 89 Citrus Bowl .The 2015 version was mouthy but couldn't back it up .In 89 the Sooners were legit but as Barry Switzer said after the Citrus Bowl " Clemson prepared for us like it was the Super Bowl ."

Just the accuracy of it.
BTW, even Tommy Bowden knew that “you’re never as good as your best game, nor as bad as your worst.” Evidently as great as your team was today, you’re really not that good. Hence, 4-2.
And OK produced 195 yards of offense without a decent QB, so while they were bad, they’re not really as bad as that. They ran for 5.0 YPC but frequently made the mistake of throwing a forward pass.

Dont recall positing about a six-loss juggernaut.
Did post that BV is no longer in the ACC.
And that the ACC is not repeat NOT the Big XII. And of course implicit in that is the Big XII is tougher conference.
Which it is.
Clemson is most definitely the class of the ACC and BV was part of that.
But he's in the deep waters now.
