you know.. There one where we were up 14-0 in the first quarter, 21-0 at half and up 38-0 after 3 quarters.. That was Manny Diaz's defense.

Kelly Bryant was 23-29 for 252 yards against Manny's defense.

So... no.. I don't think Manny Diaz will be a good DC at Clemson

Get the guy who's putting talent into the NFL. Also the ones that are talked about as head coaches. Planning at uga. The fella at osu.

So no, we don't need to promote from within. Above all, which one is known to recruit top talent.

Mike Reed and Venables are/were our two best defensive recruiters.

Wouldn't be surprised if Venables hires Reed to be his DC. That would leave Lemanski Hall, Bates, and Mickey Conn. Bates is average at both, Lemanski Hall can recruit, and Conn is a liability.

Venables, and Reed were/are the two best coaches on the staff hands down in terms of coaching and recruiting.

You've got to be kidding? The most impressive part of his resume' was being a coffee boy at ESPN. It d@rn sure was not for the defenses he put on the field. Another "Wonder Boy genius" that never played a moment of college football and was supposedly so great. If he really was that good he'd still be in Coral Gables.
