Why?

Mar 19, 2022, 11:58 AM

B/c you live in Davidson too?

No because I live nearby

He's 71 and has been at the school for over 30 years. The suggestion that he's a candidate for a position that isn't even open illustrates a great deal of ignorance about the guy.

Do they an heir apparent on the staff for when he retires, or will be an outside hire.

FWIW…Lefty’s available.

For retirement. He's already 71.

Why- Dude has been to NCAA tournament 5 times in last 10 years and to the NIT 4 times during that span. He's in a better position there than the prospects of what he would be coming to.

He's 71. We don't need a guy who is going to leave the team 2 years after getting hired.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

20 years ago— YES!

Mar 19, 2022, 12:28 PM

He’s not going to leave because he has a perfect situation for himself. He only leaves for a retirement recliner.

He’s been at Davidson for over 30 years…he’s had enough past success that if he had wanted to leave, he certainly would/could have. He makes much less than a million a year, but he obviously makes enough to have a great life at a great school in a very nice part of the state. All of his kids graduated from Davidson as well. He seems to be one of those rare people who doesn’t equate success with trying to climb the ladder or salary…kinda refreshing actually.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

No! He is older than Moses.

Mar 19, 2022, 1:18 PM

Heck of a coach but we should of hired him 20 years ago. Guy is going to retire comfortably in Davidson NC.

Incidentally, I was talking about next year when Brad is let go after a miserable 12 years. That one year to the sweet 16 was some fun but there were even some struggles during that year. When does age have anything to do with it, if you are doing a good job? You guys are discriminating against old folks??

We have a basketball coach

Mar 19, 2022, 6:29 PM

No need to look. To even suggestion your choice would be a 100-year-old mid-major coach borders on insanity.
