Dabo’s resilience

I suspect the next 12 months might be the toughest of Dabo’s career and will test the resilience of the man/coach is currently, not who he was. When Dabo started his back was against the wall and, much like a wounded animal, had to fight as hard as he could or die trying. The decisions he had to make were painful but much more obvious. Now he is the head of a program that has reached a fork in the road (or a series of forks) that will determine if it snowballs back into national obscurity or flourishes in the new world. New DC, transfers from the program, transfer portal practices, scholarship offer practices (coaches sons, etc), and starting lineup questions (start the best regardless of seniority/feelings?) on top of potentially replacing your OC and additional staff members/recruits will all take extremely sharp focus, dedication, and a little bit of luck. Those decisions will determine if we plow through the guardrail and off the cliff or round the corner to better days. Dabo was a younger and very hungry man last time. Does he have it in him 13 years and $millions later?

I don't know 2009 was pretty tough. They were a running interim coaching staff until 2010.

Valid point. But do you think it’s a little “easier” when your back is against the wall with nothing to lose? (Yes, “nothing to lose” is an exaggeration)
