Coach starts out by saying it was a disappointing night in Pittsburgh. Great game by Pitt. They made the plays that made the difference in the game and Clemson didn't. Not a lot of margin for error. Didn't make plays, missed throws, drops, missed sacks, couldn't win third down either on off or def

Swinney says it's been an amazing journey for 13 years, and this is just one season in the middle of the journey. A lot of young players. Focus is on trying to finish strong.

Given that T.Dilfer is a self-professed QB guru ... but that his QB 'guru' accomplishments are limited to offering opinions to kids and recruiting site publishers, I'd sure as hope that Dabo would not seek advice nor listen to advice from T.Dilfer.
T.Dilfer is smart enough to take credit for his Super Bowl victory, and clever enough to not proactively mention that even mediocre QB play was not enough to derail his team's STUPENDOUSLY GOOD defense on its way to Super Bowl victory.
NFL teams are not hiring T.Dilfer to be a QB fixer for their NFL QBs ... wonder why? Because that (i.e., the NFL and their big bucks investments in QBs) is where you find the REAL QB gurus. But again, T.Dilfer, although lacking the skills and insights to be a real QB guru, is smart enough to recognize his limitations and to be a shill to those who publish reports about HS QB's. Good for him.

Disappointing injury news - Swinney says he's never had a season like this - 18 total scholarship players unavailable. Now 14 guys are done for the year. Hope to get Ngata and Rayburn and Jake Venables back. Matt Bockhorst tore his ACL. Heart breaks for him.

Swinney says he is proud of everything Bock has accomplished and appreciate everything he's done. He will continue to serve the team and lead. Braden Galloway separated his shoulder and likely out the rest of the way. Justin Foster out the rest of the year with bulging disc in lower back. Epidurals haven't worked. He is facing back surgery

He says this is a crazy year but it will make them better and they will grow from it. Right now, a 4-3 team and have a chance to go and win a game and learning a lot of lessons that will pay off down the road.

On everything going wrong, he says whenever he has been in the absolute pit of things, God has been up to something and better things are on the way. God is good all the time, when you're 15-0 and 4-3. Just the way it is and they have to continue to grind. Easy to be All In when you're good, but this is when you find out what you're made of.

On the series late in first half where three passes were called, Swinney says he wishes they would have run the ball. He also says they have to teach the guys to go win. They had some missed opportunities.

Swinney says throwing the ball was a "bad call" versus the coverage had there, playing two safeties deeper.

On 3rd-and-10 with Taisun where he ran it, Swinney says it was a good call. If Taisun goes outside he will have a nice play. Had the back set, but he hasn't played much and he went downhill and it allowed No. 8 to get him. They felt like they had a good call in that situation.

I knew it right when they started running it to short side of the field. That wasn't working. It's not one of those scenarios. A 3rd and 10 run to the short side of the field probably works under 10% of the time. Just guessing, but I bet it's something weak. It was ludicrous.

Guess we will also have to all wait and find out who is ultimately responsible for some of these play calls. I’m kinda concerned if he thinks that 3rd and 10 to the short side was actually a good one. That was a low percentage 10 yd play. Anyway, I guess he can check the box that he gave a Sunday presser.

Yeah you got me. I’ve managed to stay under the radar for over 22 years on here.
And no, I actually do not know the answer and neither does apparently anyone else. It’s a legitimate question that’s been asked. Simple answer.
