Dabo put Cade in w/the starters @ 24-3, let him run 2 plays

... then he put DJ back in.

At first I thought (feared) Cade might have been injured on the running play on 2nd down. Maybe he did get “dinged”?

Even though the two plays he ran were ineffective, pulling him mid-possession seemed sort of strange.

On the sidelines later though Cade looked fine.

I was happy to see DJ continue to get the chance to refine his game.

We really needed that last TD because the final score is all a lot of people will look at.

I guess the big question is: What happens if DJ gets hurt?

Cade doesn't have enough reps. We need to blow someone out in the 1st half and get Cade in for the whole 2nd half.

It was odd but the offense was not in a rhythm and it showed very quickly when he came in. Its hard to judge off of two plays, but we do have a tougher opponent next week and needed to finish well. He may have had instructions that he didn't follow and they pulled him. He needs reps but we also need continuity and they just looked out of synch all night. One thing is for sure, DJU needs a new move when he is running the ball. That hard plant is going to get him hurt.

Dabo said they were trying to work on a wild cat package with Cade. In theory it give teams more to look at on film and prepare for.

I thought it was very odd and was hoping that DJ needed a piece of equipment adjusted and the put Cade in to cover while that was done.
