Cain punishment same as Sammy Watkins.

Sammy never failed a drug test administered by the NCAA. He was arrested for possession. NCAA failed test means for pot is 6 months out.

I've seen no indication that the test was administered by

the NCAA.

maybe he can serve his suspension a la Stephen Garcia...

who, during one of his 5 suspensions, actually stood on the practice field separate from the rest of the chickens and worked out with the then-QB coach

Dabo said it was a team test, not NCAA

According to Mickey just now on the radio.

I understand Dabo's position but candidly I could care less if Cain comes back or not. He had his chance and screwed it up! Please don't give me the crap about 18 year olds and bad decisions. Fact is for many years 18 year olds were drafted and fought and died in battle. The policy should be--ZERO TOLERANCE! NO EXCEPTIONS!NO EXCUSES!
It is a privilege to play football for Clemson University not a RIGHT.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

A lot of those 18 year olds drafted also smoked weed.***

Next man up.

Football is a game

Dec 30, 2015, 8:55 AM [ in reply to Re: Dabo on ESPN. Cain can come back. Other two are finished. ]

this is not life or death. Cain will be suspended for a couple of games. Lakip is a senior anyway and JJ had his chance. They are feeling 100 times worse right now than anybody else.

Next man up!

Per Dabo:

-All 3 forfeited the privilege of playing in any games this postseason.

- Lakip is a senior who has already graduated. He's done.

- Jay Jay isn't a senior but is on track to graduate this summer. Once he graduates he is welcome to transfer but will not play for Clemson next year.

- Cain can rejoin the team "if he decides to grow up." No specifics on what that will take.
