Dabo is a victim of his own success

Dec 8, 2014, 8:41 AM

He has built a culture of winning and getting our boys to play at a high level. The preception has changed with Clemson fans. Going to a sub standard bowl and playing a game mid day on Monday is not terrible exciting to me to begin with. Now you have cole starting. I can completely understand why people are upset. It very much feels like a pointless game. However, I also know that at the end of the day Clemson fans will still show up and still tune in because they love their tigers...

I guess my point is, everyone deserves the right to be disappointed with our bowl selection and the fact we don't get to watch D Wats play. However, just because we are disappointed doesn't mean we are bad clemson fans. It means we hold our team to a high standard and expected them to play at a high level. We are no longer in the business of being ok with 6-6 seasons and going to the potato bowl. We want Jan. bowls, Playoffs, ACC championships. God bless all you fans that want more...Go tigers!

Clemson didn't ask to be put in this bowl or any other.

Heck, ask the Citrus or Gator and I am sure they would loved to host us.

That being said, you can still be excited about this team and show up to see it get its 10th win against a big-name opponent.

Personally I think the bowls need to be done away with. They are nothing like they used to be and the way Miss State moved ahead of Mich State this weekend was not done about resumes and only for bowl selections. Go to a true playoff of at a minimum of 4 weekends with 16 teams. If it is about having more teams go to 5 weekends and 32 teams

and just call those games whatever bowl you want, who cares

about the name anyway it's all about date, time and destination. Speaking of, before you get all upset about going to Orlando, think about if we were headed to one of those other highly desirable bowl destinations like Shreveport of Birmingham....you want that?
