Dabo is a genius.

Having John Simpson carry the football into the endzone Saturday night was brilliant.

One of the few areas of Clemson recruiting that has been criticized over the last few years is the o-line. (Even though I think our current o-line is excellent.)

What does every offensive lineman dream of? Scoring a touchdown on the football field.

Most o-linemen toil in anonymity doing the hard, dirty work while everyone else gets the credit. Few of them ever touch the football, much less get a chance to carry it into the endzone. The only time their name is mentioned is for a false start or a holding penalty or maybe if they get badly beaten and the qb or running back gets blown up.

If we continue to blow teams out by 30+ points, we should make it a priority to give more of our o-linemen a chance to carry the ball or score late in the game.

Imagine what this would do for o-line recruiting. We are already recruiting at a high level. One more reason for elite o-linemen to line up to come here.

I agree but the last couple years our OL recruiting has really improved. It doesnt hurt to reward guys who toil in virtual anonymity though

The man was in the Insurance business for a few years, seeing some of the salesman come out in him over the years has been easy to spot.

Nobody has really chastised our OL recruiting in about

5 years. How do you question it with a 65-4 record since 2015?

I only have one adjustment to your suggestion.

We should not attempt to get more o linemen TDs.

The more who get to do it and then it becomes a side show.

Linemen scoring TDs is something that should be shown as effective with the guys who have the skills to do it.

If we just start putting random guys back there and get the play stopped or we fumble, then it will lose it's shine and won't mean as much.

The fact that we pick our spots and our players carefully to be non-traditional ball carriers is what makes it a special thing.

Yes. It makes the highlight reels and every Lineman recruit sees it.
